I adore this band and was pouting most of yesterday because I had to give my tickets away for the Red Square gig (had double booked with something else).

Hey, well done fountain dancer. You gave us all a laugh! Were you on the right-hand side or the left (when facing the stage I mean)?

Was about 11 rows back in the middle, had a fantastic time my voice is very croaky today. The band put on an excellent show, the atmosphere was brilliant and its a shame that a few of the songs were edited out of the C4 programme.

Jake has got legs that most women would die for

Will be first in line to get the new album tomorrow

I'm so jealous of all you lucky people who saw them at Trafalgar Square....the gig looked amazing on tv!

So excited about tomorrow...the album is gonna be out of this world, judging by what I've heard so far.

xx

I was undecided about them for a long time but I really like them now. One of my favourite bands at the moment.

I’m confused.

Why are the Scissor Sisters 4 guys and only 1 girl.

Why are you confused?

Scissor Sisters is a euphamism/slang term for Lesbians.

As for why there are 4 guys and 1 girl, who knows? Although Ana has repeatedly said she is a gay man trapped in a girls body.

I did know the origin of the name. I have heard it called “bumping fur” and various other euphemisms.

I wasn’t really all that serious but it just seemed a bit strange to have a band with 4 guys and only 1 girl called after a lesbian sex position.

Trafalgar Square was amazing, and Kylie presenting at the start got me going too - wish she'd have sung or done a duet, that would have been amazing. I was standing next to one of the fountains but didn't wanna get my red feather boa wet haha!!
Going to get the album on my lunch break, cannot wait!!

It's a little known fact that many bands have names that are inaccurate in that way. The Rolling Stones aren't really made of rock, The Super Furry Animals aren't that hairy, Captain Beefheart wasn't a member of the military and there were only about 5 musicians in 10,000 Maniacs.

Scissor Sisters is just a name! What should they have called themselves - 'Scissor Brothers plus sister'? Then someone would have pointed out that they're not really siblings!

What about Bare Naked Ladies, if that perplexes you – they were ALL blokes. And Young Black Teenagers were all white guys in their twenties...

They have that great trick of mixing up a load of old stuff and unashamedly serving it up with a fresh twist!

I didn’t know that.

Are “Counting Crows” actually real people? I thought they were a group of numerate magpies.

Sarcy bugger. It was only a question.
