It isn't the worst album I've heard. My first listen I thought, no I'm not liking this..but the more I listen to it, the more I've really started to like the songs on there.
I'll PM you..! ellisonsgal |

On the Evanescence boards, it's getting a really rough time, but on a non-Evanescence board I visit, it's getting very high praise indeed.

I managed to *cough* get a sneak preview and it sounds like a continuation of their first album, without the good songs. Shame really.

the album was a major letdown the only good song was call me when ur sober. there no catchy lyrics or brillent backround music its just bland bland bland the last album was brill it had going under myimortal bringme to life tourniquiet and the rest of the songs were good aswell but this is major downfall in my ears nothing appeals to me on open door apart from CMWYS i hope they can learn from this and make the next album better than fallen i was so looking forward to this after hearing CMWYS i thought yea there bak with new great new stuff Shame i love this band i hope they learn from this |

Surely in 3 and a half years since Fallen, you'd think they'd come up with a good sophomore album, surely? Can't be that bad honestly...

yea i know the waiting was so long only for them to churn out this
when i put fallen in my player i never wanted to turn it off at any point but this i wanted to turn it off after almost every song but i did,nt call me WYS is a brillient song with catchy good lyrics and bakround music kind of like the stuff from fallen. its like they said we better make a track thats a soundalike to sumthing from fallen because the song does not fit in with every other song on the album but this new direction in sound did,t work for me |

It was never going to be as good because the guy that wrote the songs on the first record split with them years ago.

Ben wanted to push them in a more commerical direction, Amy wanted to go in a more creative direction.. so they split.
Anyway, the album isn't that bad. IMO, It's not as good as Fallen, but it's still a good album. I love the the tracks Lacrymosa, Lithium, Good Enough, Weight of the World, and Like You. On first listen, I was very dissapointed. It was so different to Fallen and It took me a while to get used to it. I really disliked Lose Control at first, but now I love it. I don't know how you can say it's bland. There's so much power behind Lacrymosa.. they used a 22-string orchestra and a choir.. I think it sounds very epic, but I guess everyone has their own opinion. All in all, it's not as good as Fallen.. It was a lot to compare to, but it's good.. you'll probably get used to it after a few listens. |

There's some for sale now on ebay.... There's also a massive selection of Evanescence songs on Limewire too, so definitey worth downloading if you don't have it already. Last edited by soapmania : 25-09-2006 at 11:44. |
