£40 ?? Jeez you were robbed...

Agree though, timberlakes new record is definetly nowhere near as good as his last...Beyonce record, i reckon you should give it a little more time, for a pop record, it isn't that bad.

Were do you buy your albums to pay that sort of money?
You could get both of those for about £19 on play.com

Mind you I'd have to paid to listen to either of those artists.

Those albums are not 'instant' to be honest. They do get better with more listens but now that i have given them a good listen to, i would say that only half the songs on each are good. They'll not be as successful as there last albums. Beyonce's is already plummeting out of our album chart.

This might be a good thread to warn people about the new album by The Dears called 'Gang Of Losers'. It's the shittest thing I've heard since....well, the latest Razorlight album.

Of course it's subjective, and I think I've seen some positive reviews, but I would recommend trying before buying.

I do the same thing and because you can have a brief listen to all the tracks on the album you know whether they are good or not.

You can get a voucher in Sainsburys and Currys Digital. No need for a credit card.

Hehe I quite like it, not that it's in the same league as their first.
Needs quite a few listens though.

Personally think their album is a pop classic. Full of (albeit derivative) pure pop gold. They are terrible live, though....

Bit of a tangent here, so apologies - What happened to MyCokeMusic, Coke's equivalent of iTunes? It was all over their bottles a while ago. I think you could buy music from their site and get credits from Coke bottles. I thought it was strange when this iTunes promotion began (as it seemed like they were promoting the competition's site) but I've just been to the Mycokemusic site and it says it's now closed...

Anyone know what happened there?

'To be fair', Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, Akon and Razorlight are just sluts of the industry. It's not surprising that their albums are very hit and miss.

Jeez...I always thought good music tends to grow on you after extensive listens......

Doubt any of these posters would download anything from Radioheads "Kid A" because there aren't any radio friendly singles and it COULD take patience!

I hate when that happens.

It's the same with Jamelia 'Thank You'

The singles were the only good thing on them, the rest was crap-cheesy-bad-rapping music!

I have a rule where i only buy an album by someone if i like three or more of their songs.

And £20 for a CD, is there not anywhere else like Tescos, music zone, woolworths etc that you can buy it cheaper?!
