Razorlight are cashing in on America
I have just been onto itunes to download Razorlight's America and found that to get it I have to dowload the entire album. Not a problem, I hear you all say - the album is great. Yes, I reply, however I have already downloaded several album tracks already.
That is just plain unfair.

I do agree with your 2nd paragraph though! I resent being called a cheapskate. I do buy CD's - if and only if I like the whole thing. I have to say I dont want all of Razorlight's stuff - some of it is rubbish!!!!! There are some very judgmental people on this forum today. |

![]() My poiint about the CD, is that you can buy a CD online for about 6-7 quid, and you get all the tracks, all the sleeve notes etc......and you can take all the time in the world to get into the tracks, as with many great songs, they take more than a quick listen to appreciate. Plus if you wish them to be played on the iPod, then at least you can burn the tracks to mp3 at a really high quality rate, rather than crappy 128kbps.... MP3's as individual files are a rip-off from iTunes. The above paragraph explains that. |

![]() Meh....mp3's have their advantages, but what really gets to me running them off iPods is the gap between songs. Some of my favourite albums like the Beatles' "Abbey Road" or Radioheads "Kid A" are built up of connected songs, and if run on an mp3 player like an iPod, its ruined with ana annoying gap! Now stop flirting with me! |

I would run you through it - but you sound so clever I am sure you can sort it out for yourself

![]() Seamless albums are therefore useless running on iPods, as not only do you get inferior quality, there is an annoying gap between the tracks. The only solution is to record the album as one mp3 - great.

Iain ![]() I've addressed the question about the iPods ability to play songs without gaps......put simply, it can't, unless you've got a PC attached to it and iTunes. Not very convenient when the iPod is mean't to be portable. |

iTunes 7 now allows gapless playback on your iPod without having to record the whole album as a single track, you also don't need to keep the iPod connected to the pc to do it.
To the OP, the single version of America isn't released until 2nd October. Last edited by watchme : 24-09-2006 at 16:00. |
