Read the digitalspy story linked below about the MOBO's

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/article/ds37237.html

"The ceremony concluded with a set by soul legend Sam Cooke, who had earlier been given a Lifetime Achievement Award."

Never mind the fact that Sam Cooke died in 1964....

I heard Marvin Gaye was at the after show party.

First to the bar, as always.

Reading the DS story, I must say it's disappointing that Beyonce couldn't be bothered to attend the MOBOs, particularly when Sam Cooke made such a great effort to be there 42 years after his death.

Er, on a serious note, who DID conclude the evening's entertainment if it wasn't Cooke?

I don't think so. They don't serve spirits!

This reminds me of the time when Sky reporter Rachel Amatt declared that John Lennon was making an appearance at Glastonbury... in 2004. Bless, she's quite good usually.

Reminds me of the old gag:

What did Marvin Gaye's father say to him before he shot him? "This is the last 45 you'll ever hear!"
