As Jon's friend I'd like to endorse this thread. As we've seen the Producers of the show have really made a 'big thing' of people's lives outside the competition and I guess that the 'Anti-Jonathan' thread was because he was the first. I'm hoping in the coming weeks the numbers of people appreciating Jon's considerable talents and great voice will increase and that they see him for what he really is - a genuinely nice guy, down to earth, with the ability to entertain and hold an audience.

There seem to be a lot of ''friends'' of Jonathan on here.

That's coz he's a nice bloke, Chav, and has a lot of friends.

And let's not forget he takes his mummy shopping every week...

Not every week Chav, sometimes he's goes for her, and she stays in.....

It's amazing how you could take such a dislike to someone when you have only seen 3 mins worth of a producers edit.

Exactly. It is actually quite worrying. And the constant digs at his mums condition from her are a bit unsavoury as well. I dont understand hate threads.

Me neither, if he wants to look after his mum almost full time, good on him. As I'm sure many young men put in his position wouldn't be so dedicated.

I think it's a positive thing that he looks after his mom. That isn't and never has been my complaint about him!!!

erm, yeah it is. In almost every post you mention he looks after his mum, and it usually done so in a highly negative way, making it look like thats the problem. I hope Jon's mum dosent come on here and read these comments!!

Clearly you don't understand my posts. My problem is the way he tried to USE the caring thing as a reason for us to support him in the show.

Chav as so many forum members have tried to tell you that was the decision of the producers and he had no way of knowing how it would be used. Thats another reason for you hating him on its backside? Anything else we can set you right on?

Surrrre... so when he called his sick mom (who he takes shopping) after he got through and put his cell on speakerphone and held it up to the camera it didn't even occur to him that they might use it in the program, huh?
