Darren will be on Breakfast tomorrow Tuesday 26th.

They usually do interviews between 8.30-9.15.

It'll be a lovely bit of nostalgia for us all looking back at the last series, and looking forward to the new one.

Looking forward to seeing him again as he always makes me .

Darren was a bit quiet but as lovely as ever.

He said that he he had to give back the mirror ball trophy and that he has an (even smaller) version.

The best thing was that that we had a preview of some training on the screens in the studio. Matt Dawson with Lilia in particular looked VERY good. Darren also mentioned Mark Ramprakash as somebody else he was looking forward to seeing but sadly no footage of him on with Karen.

He also said that he was at a charity dinner with Anton and Erin doing cabaret a couple of weeks ago and that (I think) Erin persuaded him onto the floor to do a demo, though I can't remember what dance.

A nice treat and it showed clips of the freestyle. He's looking forward very much to the new series as we all are and thinks it's a very strong line up. Just a shame Bill wasn't on, as he could have talked with him with empathy!

It was V. waltz she got him to do. I thought Dermot was really bad at interviewing him! He kept messing up what was written on the autocue!

Darren looked lovely though. He said as well that he has been doing some charity work that included playing rugby, criket and dancing around the country and that he hasn't got his dance school yet. He also said that he bought the red suit he wore on the xmas special so he could keep it lol

He also said he'd written a book about being on Strictly Come Dancing... I hadn't heard anything about it but it's on Amazon, called "Dazzler on the Dance Floor: Strictly for Fun", due out in November! Hopefully he'll be on ITT nearer the time to promote it.

The blurb for Darren's book on Amazon says:

Hot on the heels of his "Strictly Come Dancing" triumph, internationally renowned England cricketer Darren Gough takes a light-hearted look at the world of dance and tells the story of how he came to exchange his cricket whites for dancing shoes. Before taking part in the hugely successful TV show Darren's only experience of dance was break-dancing on street corners in Barnsley, but with the guidance of professional dancer Lilia Kopylova he was soon mastering a whole range of moves and sweeping his way into the nation's affections -- 3 million people voted for him in the series final. In "Dazzler on the Dance Floor -- Strictly for Fun", he and Lilia demonstrate various dances in accessible 'how to' steps and recall their time together on the show, with entertaining anecdotes about their rivals as well as of Darren's journey from reluctant dancer to becoming the 'James Bond of the Dance Floor'.

Sounds like Lilia has had quite a bit of input too, which should be good!
