Best connection for video quality

Hi
I have a TF5800PVR and I am connecting via a Yamaha RX-V2600 to a Hitachi PJ-tx200.
I go from the Yamaha to the projector via HDMI.
How should I connect the Topfield to the Yamaha in order to get the best possible picture quality (especially as I am projecting on an 8Ft wide screen which shows up any imperfections in picture quality).
I can input via composite, svideo, or component.
Thanks

I would have component by some margin using a Scart to Component lead.
