Anyone here converted? Is it an good, have heard they have little mainstream music, is that true? What do you think of it?

I've been using it for years, off and on. It's a good deal for anyone with wide tastes in music. Not as good a deal as it was about 3 years ago, when downloads were virtually unlimited, but still a great service.

do they have much music?

Loads of music but mainly from independent labels. However they were running a free trial last time I looked. so give them a try. I am a bit pi**ed off with them launching over here. No more taking advantage of the weakness of the dollar and getting 40 downloads for about £6.50.

However sometime some tracks were only available for download in US , so that problem should be sorted I hope

Is there a way to find out what they've got without signing up? Their web site is designed to make it very hard to do anything without going through the sign-up procedure.

emusic.com directs you to the UK site I think. Anyway, if you do the logical thing, which is to click on one of the album covers on the front page, it takes you straight to the sign-up page. You have to click on the "why join" button, then on the "preview music" button, then on a band name, then on the genre... only then does it allow you to browse what's available.

If they want to take on iTunes they need to make it a bit easier to find out what they're offering.
