Upgrading my phone (merged)

Hey, I'm on Orange and can upgrade my phone this month and cannot decide between either the LG white chocolate phone and the Samsung E900? Anyone got any opinions or if there are any other new phones out that are better and which look pretty too? I'm upgrading from a N70 which has been broken for the past three months |(calls can only be heard on loudspeaker) and I use my phone too much so didn't want to have send it off and wait a week or two to get it repaired.

Thanks, any advice will be welcome!

Check out this link to a very good mobile review site.

TOut of the 2 you have said the E900 seems better, but the D900 also looks fantastic.

The D900 has a better camera but they are both pretty much the same I think. There is always the Nokia N80 (not as small as the others) but has a wi-fi connnection so when in a place with free wi-fi you can pick up the internet - the screen shows it like a proper computer screen in terms of the layout. Only problem I've heard with that is the software can be a bit slow.

I was thinking about upgrading to the E900 because it looks the nicest - but the O2 guy told me that they'd had some complaints from customers that as the surface is a 'touch-screen' and heat sensitive - when they were making phone calls the phone would sometimes cut out due to the heat coming off their face.

Not sure how 'widespread' that problem is though, may just be because of how those customers hold their phone when speaking.

I have had both phones, and didnt get on with either of them.
I didnt like the touch sensitive keys on the phones, I found them too sensitive.
I eventually took a Sony Ericsson K800i, which I love.

Of the two you have mentioned though, the E900 has by far the better camera and functionality, and is generally a better phone.
the LG can be tricky to navigate, and the camera is not that good, although is looks good in white, and a pink one is on the way next month

As someone else mentioned, the D900 is a good option, with a better camera and not touch sensitive keys, but is a little larger than the other two.

you can always go to a phone shop like Carphone Warehouse, and they will let you have a play with one.

If you are not bothered about having a pretty phone, the Nokia N73 has just come out and is fantastic, as is the Sony Ericsson K800i.

If you want any more info, give me a shout.

Thanks! I ordered the E900 and they said I've got a week to try it out so if I don't get on with the touch screen then I can take it back!!
