especially "full time carer" Johnathan - I couldn't give 2 shits if he has to take his mother out every morning "usually the doctors or hospital"

Also wheelchair bound woman, who doesn't wheelchair want to seen wheelchair as someone whose in a wheelchair...did I use the word wheelchair? oh well one more time, wheelchair. She goes on about it more than everyone else

And as for T shirt from T Bag Stikes Again..."I'm so nervous!!" sob! Pity me and my little boy lost routine.

Some of it may be over the top, but don't berate anyonewho has personal tragedy in their life, it's obvious through the heartless comments that none of the above have had tragedy in their lives, God forbid any of you ever end up in a wheelchair.

If you don't like it don't voteforthem people or better still don't watch at all if it annoys you that much

The thing I don't understand about Jonathan the full time carer is, who's gonna look after his mum if he makes the final?

I hate the sob stories too. I know you need them to liven the programme up a bit but to keep mentioning them is ridiculous. There was no need for Jonathan to repeat the fact that he cares for his mum. I think we all got the message.

Will probably get the help if he makes it big which I doubt.

The winner this year will be whoever DOESN'T have a sob story, so will have to be a group.

they are really got on my nerves as well, but to be honest you gotta blame the producers for it really.

They got to make a programme out of it but the thing is its turning people the other way and we're hating people before they've even got to the live shows and we've heard them sing.

I also read an article about Jonathan having brothers and sisters....which makes me believe hes not doing the caring all by himself. BUT again dont blame him...the producers are making the story and have chosen what angle they want.

Its the same in all these shows....poor little Gareth with his stutter, Poor Michelle McManus for eating too much and being fat, those two in Xfactor 1 where one was blind, Andy the binman (what an insult to all the binmen out there), Shane who lived on a council estate (jst like hundreds of other people in UK)...now we have Jonathan, Kerry in a wheelchair who doesnt want to be known for being a wheelchair yet its mentioned every second, the little kid who is so nervous, the one that wants a better life for her kids (who doesnt?) and then Rowetta mark II its her last chance for
stardom.......YAWN....

bring on the real talent

Yeah thats what I felt after watching boot camp. I'm sick of the sob story music, the sob story voice Kate puts on and the sob storys full stop. "Oh, if they put me through, I'll stop working on a reception".. what she really meant was "Because look at me, I'm far too attractive to work on a reception, I mean get real".

*PUKE*

If I hear one more last chance...

the thing is the sob stories have nothing to do with the singing, so why do they feel the need to bring it up, that woman who was involved in a car bomb accident really didn't need to bring that up. It was something like 33 years ago

They play all the crap music and we're meant to feel sorry for him cos he didnt get thru and his girlfriend did....heart wrenching it was...

Do the producers really think that the viewing public are that gullible?

Bring on the 'sob stories' and the producers will think that we'll all be drawn into it and watch it in our millions, in the hope that the viewing figures will rocket.

They don't really stand a cat-in-hell chance of winning.
I feel for them, as it's not really fair on them.

He's one of the most unlikeable persons I've EVER seen on any reality TV show. His arrogance beggars belief.

Hmm, well how hard is it to ring and book a taxi to come and take you to wherever you need to go!? Not very hard... you don't need any special skills to do what Jonathan does for his mom, anyone could do it - that's what's so ridiculous about the whole thing...

On the same par as the annoying, "I don't know what I'll do if I don't get through....music is my life! " repetitive bullshit.

Hello Again,

Although I agree with lots of the comments above, I feel I have to say that Kerry is definitely not a sob story. I see a very strong and determined young woman who is trying to make the most of life despite her tragic accident 18 years ago.

She certainly did not give me or any of my family the impression that she was going on abount being in a wheelchair all the time. Don't forget that we only see a very small part of the interviews with the contestants so the problem probably lies with the editors.

In the boot camp sections, I felt that Kerry had one of the best voices and I feel sure she will make the televised stages.

The sob stories really don't bother me because I'm just not interested. I've never been gullible enough to vote for someone because I feel sorry for them, and only vote because I enjoyed their performance.

I know some are manipulated by what is shown (and that can be into feeling sympathy towards someone or irritated by them) but I just don't let it get to me. The producers do it because they're aiming it the same people who would read such sob stories in magazines or 'human interest' shows like Trisha. They think it makes good tv. For me that's the bit of the show I most ignore - I'm looking at the performing.

The sob stories were driving me mad on Saturday, everytime they started to sing the editors cut in with them talking over the top.....

"Well, i haven't been the same since i broke my finger-nail, singing was the only way i could cope with it.....",

"After the death of my pet hamster, Harold, i just threw myself into music & i know he's looking down on me feeling proud....."

"I just wanna make a better life for my 17 kids... & 34 grandchildren......"

"sniff, sniff, blub, blub"

I JUST WANNA HEAR THEM SING!

I want Ben to win - no sob story, just a great voice

i agree i cant bear all this but ive lost my mum, dad arm ,eg business

if they want to be judged just on their talent then dont mention your tragedy then the producers wont be able to go on about it

Im sick of sob stories too, those people need to get some dignity and self respect. And that stupid kid who can't sing for nerves, he is pathetic.
