Minty is a bellend.
The baby story is dire.
The dad crap is boring.
Oh when will eastenders be good again?

What happened to Minty's property empire? A couple of years ago he seemed to own half of the crummy bedsits is Walford and all points east but he seems to be reduced to kipping on other people's sofas.

The nasty violent Minty would have seen through the Aussie tart's games months ago and kicked her Antipodean ar5e back to Oz and that grinning half wit shadow of her's as well.

Do the SWs think we are all morons with no memory? (Yes.)

Minty's 360 degree personality change is very annoying! From a violent thug to a soft cuddly bear

Yet again EE writers let us down. The baby thing is a joke and has been slammed by the NHS.

EE used to be good back in the day of Den & Angie

The Down's syndrome storyline is brilliant, all actors involved are brilliant, and they have had loads of positive feedback actually.

The OP who said that "Minty is a bellend." I mean come on. I'd hardly call that a good opening for any potential debate.

Mind you, on second thoughts, for some of this lot, that's probably what they'd call 'intellectual debate'.

I think it's doing ok at the moment, it's certainly not at its best though and can definetly do better! It does bore me from time to time and that doesn't usually happen...the storyline i am most enjoying at the moment is the Honey/Billy storyline with their Downs baby, it's being handled really well and is being brilliantly acted by Emma Barton and Perry Fenwick.

Whilst I wouldn't have put it like that, I felt the same watching tonight. It just didn't interest me. It's only one episode mind, but nothing interested me. Pointless scenes and one dull storyline dominated most of the episode. Shame.

I take it your haven't been watching for like the last 2 months and only just tuned in for tonight.

Honey/Billy has been one of the best most effective this year.
Squiggle/Owen/Denise stuff which only finished Friday has been fantasic.
And the stuff that is coming up at the end of the week sounds brilliant.

Tonight was just a filler episode - what do you want bomb explosions everynight?

If you don't like it don't tune in and just watch old episodes.

Of course, I was passing judgement on tonight's episode, and tonight's episode only. And anyway, it's my opinion, which this forum is based on after all.

Maybe, but that's your opinion. I agree with a couple of points however.

Certainly not, I want well written drama that interests me. They've been more than capable of doing that recently, so why tonight did they decide to treat their viewers with contempt by thinking "Oh, they'll watching anything, let's shove SJ and Minty on for 30 minutes".

Why? Like I said, I didn't like tonight's episode. Generally, the show is in good health but I don't believe in filler episodes and every episode should be at least a good standard. I didn't enjoy it tonight and I have every right to say so. I don't deny it's been brilliant for the past two months or so, but that's not relevant to this discussion.

EE has never been the same since they lost all their long-serving superstars - Roy Evans, Barry Evans, Mark Fowler, Grant Mitchell, Marcus Christie, etc. The show has had its day.

Minty has turned into a complete plonker, far from the street wise thug he was when he arrived.

The baby story has great moments but I cant stand Honey as a character or actress and as I said elsewhere all this over protective dad rubbish from Jack just annoys me. Shes a married woman now, cut the apron strings Jack. Support Honey but dont take over. If Billy had any balls he would take some control!

I say that Billy and Honey are good actors, but they are not meant for the storyline of down syndrome, that is not their cup of tea. They are not of interest to me in this storyline.

Honey should have been left as the vacuous airhead she was, just there for comic effect and thats it. She cannot hack this story in my opinion.

I agree that last night felt like filler...but it was still good. A day of filler on EE is still better than most any other soap, imo...

no where I expect. What is likely to happen is SJ sees conning Minty is wrong, falls for him and Minty forgives her. Then in true EE style she gets a job a the cafe/vic/club/bookies/car lot everyone loves her and we forget she was a total bitch in the same way we forget Minty was a thug and Billy was a child beater.
