My Pioneer 530H PVR seems to have stopped putting the programme names onto the recordings. It just shows the time and channel. Any ideas?

This is an ongoing problem when stray code gets in the system. There was a thread on it a couple of months ago. Unfortunately, you need to reset Guideplus.

On front of machine, hold down STOP button, then press and Hold STANDBY/ON. Release STOP. Will reset Guideplus, but you will not lose anything you have saved on the HDD.

It is a bit of a pain to do this, but it will not right itself. This was advised by a Pioneer Engineer who said he reset his machine everycouple of months!

Good luck.

Hi. looking to buy pvr/dvd with freeview (Pioneer DVR-540HX 160GB), and trying to get my head round guide plus.
Can anyone advise.
will the 540 switch my sat box (Pace) to the channel required?
can timed recordings be auto padded?
plus anything that would be useful to know.
Thanks in advance
Brian.

Yes.

No - you would need to manually adjust the time of the recording once you've scheduled it.

I've found GuidePlus very slow to add new channels. It took forever for ITV4 to be added to my old list. Sky Movies 10 still hasn't been added!

However, if you manually set the timer to record from FiveUS or FiveLife, I have found it eventually gives it the right label!

You do not need to reset guideplus. When guideplus add channels it will automatically update.

I reset GuidePlus, just the same no FiveUS or FiveLife, I'll just have to wait for them to add the channels.

p.s. wanted to record Ideal World, not on GPlus so had to switch to Digital EPG, problem is you can't see what you've set to record when viewing the EPG that way.

Hi, why don't you manual set guide plus?

Hi Stephen93 page 54 tell you how, you can set guide plus just the same as the epg. day time name sat channel no or freeview, also pad at the same time.
Have a play, and get back to me.

I love guideplaus and use it in preference to skys EPG. Just wish they weren't to painfully slow at adding channels (and would have a true 7 day EPG for all channels). I've been waiting for Fx for past few months with no joy.
