if you don't have garenteed entry be prepare for a long wait. Last year with the show starting at 6.30pm the studio doors opened at 5.30, I think we got into the beeb about 4.30 / 4.45 ish, but had queued since 2pm - I imagine it will get earlier (and sillier). Take warm clothes for outside, glam for inside - there is a cloke room to leave junk, chair, umbrella, etc, take food, there is a bar and some refreshments in side but not a lot, loos are in side. I would suggest the tube as parking is a nightmare round there, but there are some central line engineering works so check if it affects that part (White city tube). They will give you a kit kat and 200ml orange juice in between shows!!!!!!!
Other than that, do take a camera - not for during the show, but afterwards, the prof dancers love it, and take your strictly book, you'll get some signatures. When I went we all hung around on the floor at the very end - the studio people try to get you out, but they don't try very hard, and as I said the dancers (esp Anton) love it all.
For this I expect a FULL report !!!!!!!
Good luck and enjoy. Try your best to get seats upstairs as the view is better - no cameras in the way. And it gets hot in the studio - all those lights!
