Just saw a new advert for Fred's wedding/death, looks good much better than the Mike one as it doesn't show the final scene.

Just saw it, it's quite good but I think the voiceover spoilt it. Glad there is one though, I mean Fred is a classic Corrie character, legendary even.

He deserves a good send-off. Can't believe it's so soon .

That's the big secret. Personally, I've rooted for Fred & Bev for months but recently I've been hoping Audrey's the one he's with when he dies.

It could be a red herring but it was mentioned that he dies in Audrey's house but that could be them leading you up the wrong plot path

The pictures in the paper show him being taken away from Audrey's door step. At first I thought he didnt marry Bev and went to Audrey. Now I think he will either get to the the church but leav before the wedding or marry Bev and then run off to Audrey's realising its her he wants all along. Either was judging by the pics of his actual death (paramedics, ambulance etc) he dies on Audreys door step.

Surely this is not Fred's style. I could'nt see Fred marrying Bev then running off to Audrey. He is just not that kind of man.

We'll just have to wait and see.

Looking forward to seeing the ad.

Do cinemas still show trailer ads like they did with Emmerdale in the summer?

Well Fred is at the church so if he doesnt marry Bev I assume he bolts it before the wedding. All the pictures of him beig stretchered away with a blanket over his face are at Audreys so that has to be where he dies. Also in the trailer it shows Ashley calling after his dad, as he leaves the church.

I've heard that they've filmed two endings - one where he marries Bev before he dies, & another where he doesn't.

CS won't be the same without Fred, I say Fred!

They never film two endings, they only ever film one. They don't even have time to rehearse these days so they certainly don't have time to do the same thing twice! They tell the press that to make it more suspenseful, and a soap actor actually said not long ago not to believe the 'two versions' story cos it's not true.

Fred dies before the wedding cos he goes to see Audrey on his way to the church. It says in the TV mag that Ashley has to make excuses for the fact Fred hasn't yet turned up at the church.

There's more drama-after-death doing it this way anyway. Imagine Bev's reaction to knowing Fred went to see Audrey before marrying her, when marrying her should be all he's thinking about. If Fred went to see his friend Audrey AFTER the wedding and then dies, there's not 'suspicious' about that as far as Bev is concerned.

Yeah the 2 endings is always a red herring. For example they said they had done 2 endings to the Jason and Sarah wedding, but if they had think of all the extra scenes that would have had to filmed for afterwards that would also never been shown, too costly and not enough time. Dont believe everything you read in the papers or hear from the Granada press office!

If this is true, it makes more sense that he sees audrey BEFORE the wedding. Fred is a very honest man, and once he marries Bev, that's it as far as his feelings for audrey are concerned. It would make sense that, at the last opportunity before marrying bev, he goes to see audrey. Hardly likely he would disappear off to audrey's house once married to bev, and the wedding reception is underway.

It makes me so sad even thinking about what is coming....

I love Fred!! He's really sweet, and top actor Its gonna be iwerd without him, he's always been in it, even since i've been watching anyway He's gonna be a big miss

I think he will die before the wedding, and tell Audrey he loves her, just before he dies. That will be really sad but so sweet

Sometimes they DO film a single scene in two different ways but they never do any follow-up scenes that won't be shown.

I can see this working in the case of Fred as the outcome is the same he dies. However in the case of Jason and Sarah they would have had to film scenes of them being married and living together, and the reception or party afterwards. It would have all been too much to waste. Plus all the scenes of Sarah being upset afterwards would have also been wasted. Corrie makes out they film 2 scenes and make a final decision withn days of transmission, that cant happen.

He must marry Bev because the Tv magazines talk about her deciding to bury Fred and Ashley wanting him cremated. She gets her way cause she is his spouse. If she wasnt married to him Ashley would get his way

I think the marriage does go ahead but Fred runs to Audrey after because he realises it was a mistake. What TV mag says Bev gets her way? I've looked but cant find it. Even if they didnt marry it isnt inconcievable that Bev would argue with Ashley ver how Fred is buried.
