Has anyone out there done any picture quality comparison between a current Panny/Plasma panel on SD and a 4 year old Pannny/Plasma panel

Big difference on picture quality. The older plasmas were bloody good at the time but compared to the new ones they do looked out classed.
The newer models are able to display a much bigger range of colours and so reduce the colour bandng effect. They also have better brightness/contrast levels. From what I've the older models are less likely to suffer screen burn/retention problems and may also handle sd signals better due to less scaling issues. The new ones are also proper TV's as opposed to monitors with tuner boxes, which i think is a big step forward for most users!
