I've been gathering tracks for the last few weeks for a compilation of non-english sung tracks for a friend... Managed to find quite a few great ones. Just wondering if anyone had any more suggestions? Here's a couple of the highlights I've found

Sigur Ros - Svefn-y-Englar (from the 'Vanilla Sky' soundtrack)
Swci Boscawen - Asdar Y Nefoedd
Emilie Simon - Fleur du Saison
Issa Bagayogo - Banani
Yankaw - Nahawa Doumbia (Aqua Bassino Dub mix)
Mory Kante - Yeke Yeke
Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan - Mann Atkia Beparwaah de Naal
Sigur Ros - Hoppipolla

So anyway - drop your world-music (i hate that term!) or other fave non-english tracks here!

Anything by Jaques Brel, but at a push I would recommend Le Cathedrale or Avec Elegance

I think it would sound perfect myself
When creating a compilation CD, jump from one musical style to something completely different ... that's my method
And very well it works too
