Crap is not a word I would have used to describe that episode - its one of the most moving things I've ever watched and I cried as well. 'Nuff said.

It wasn't exactly Christmas cheer was it? and Jamie's death was dragged out a bit. Usually in a soap, the victim dies quickly.

I agree it was very moving, but I do also agree that it was a bit depressing for Christmas.

Billy & Mo's Wedding was lovely though.

I know its Chirstmas but having everything all fine a dandy is totally not real! At xmas espascially alot of people unfortunatly die from hit and run every year!

Sad reality but true....... even though it wasn't a hit and run but you know what i mean?

It was a great episode mixing humour with tragedy!

EastEnders is all nitty and gritty, thats its magic!

And thats why i love it!

it would have been moving if involved some likeable characters, I mean Jamie, he's such a non-character!! Sonia is so annoying and Phil (weven though I like him) isnt exactly the nicest man on the quare is he?

quare i beleive you mean sqaure. Yes Jmaie is a non chracter most of the time but because he is the least person you would think of dyeing thats why it was emotional.

But also no matter what they are or who they are its still sad to see someone die and its as simple as that ladies and gentlemen.

Anyways the quality of acting was great and i have praise them for that.

The wedding was fab! Loved the shoes............. i dont know why people hate em?

LOL merry Christmas to all here!

Very good episode, however Jamie did not really look very ill, in fact he looked better than on Christmas Eve.

Well thats not hard to guess compared to the abysmal lineup on ITV

I thought the wedding was great especially the singers.
Brought a little festive cheer compared to the rest of the story line.

Eastenders was absolute crap and it has been for months. I used to really like it but now I'm serioulsy considering not watching it in 2003. They seem to make storylines drag on for so long!

Corrie was much better with Richard and his murdering plot.

Eastenders was rather good...considering Jamie is a bit of a non-entity and that no one really cares THAT much about him and Sonia as 'Enders bosses seem to believe, plus we knew he'd die anyway...they kind of made the best of the situation combining it with the wedding.

However, I actually think Emmerdale was the best soap on Christmas Day! Although the stalker being Ray wasn't surprising, it made for a quite shocking story with it being her bloody (literally ) boyfriend. Really entertaining stuff.

Corrie was just a huge let down, although Richard does still properly attempt to kill Emily, bump off Maxine and then later Archie, but we were lead to believe that some of it was going to happen last night.

That's pretty much what I expected to be honest...

Saw the Mirror one in the paper today. Personally I think Jim Shelly is reasonably okay (well he's great compared to the I-won't-bother-with-constructive-criticism-so-I'll-just-slag-everything-off crap written by Ally Ross) but Eastenders, as great as it was, was a bit overrated and it could only be interesting to a certain point because of what I said above...of course it's all subjective anyway. At least he WAS rather nice about Emmerdale, but as I suspected, Eastenders (undeservedly, imo) overshadowed it.

Drifter i agree sometimes EastEnders is overated but hey i grow up with that soap so i guess in a funny way it deserve it. Emmerdale is great but i always hated it when itv are always biased towards bore-o-nation street!

EastEnders and Emmerdale were the best soaps this Christmas.........As in there were both equal in my opinion and they didn't tople each other.

Was the wedding story directed by Brian Rix?. Why was it such a farce? Why does something go wrong every single time.
Some people would appreciate seeing a nice straightforward wedding occasionally. If I had have been Billy with a big stain on my shirt ( Did you see that one coming as well?) I would simply have kept my coat buttoned up.

So Jamie on his death bed asks Sonia about God and Jesus, seeking spiritual comfort. Sonia keeps saying "Shut up Jamie"
