sqaure - I believe you mean square

beleive - I believe you mean believe

Jmaie - I believe you mean Jamie

chracter - I believe you mean character

dyeing - I believe you mean dying

You see bigdaddymerk didn't do so bad after all!!!

Emmerdale, though there was a few loopholes in the story, was very entertaining, and was for me, the best thing I watched on xmas day (considering i only watched the soaps, it isn't saying a lot!)

Eastenders, Jamie part dragged on way too long, there is only so much of Sonia and Phil in tears that you can endure, I actually said to the missus, we know he dies, so why not just let him die and then get on with developing a new story, it may have been better to keep Jamies fate a secret till the screening of the episode.
thought last night's episode was funny when Martin announced that his solicitor reckoned he was going to prison - like DOH! what did he expect? a pat on the back? wonder if we will have a free the Albert Square 1 campaign?

Coronation Street, don't think it was as bad as people say, was entertaining, nothing really annoying in it. found myself shouting at Emily to wake up!!!!!

I am not an Eastenders fan at all, hate all that shouting that always seems to be on it.

I just turned the tv on for a couple of minutes and saw the a bit of Eastenders ending and quite honestly I was shocked at how dismal it was with the camera panning around the casts' depressed faces because someone had died. I thought who on Earth wants to sit down and watch such a depressing programme on Christmas Day of all days? The last thing you want to feel on Christmas Day is sad.

Am I the only one who finds the Jamie/Sonia romance a tad less than credible?

At least in Emmerdale they pair off reasonably suited couples, and apparently Katie/Andy and Scott/ Chloe are real life couples.

But Jamie/Sonia? Give me a break, Kym Marsh may not be the greatest popstar in memory, but she's way out of Sonias league!

I don't think Katie and Andy are a real life couple as she's seeing a footballer I think. As for the soaps, Eastenders was very depressing even the wedding wasn't that good and Corrination Street, I was also wanting Emily to wake up, I thought he was supposed to kill her on Christmas day. I agree Emmerdale had a few funny loopholes but it wasn't bad, it's a good soap and probably the best on TV at the moment for the sheer comedy value.

There WAS a time (a LONG time ago when I was a child!) when you got things like the Morecambe and Wise Christmas show on Christmas Day evening, or a really good film. This year it was Eastenders, Emmerdale, Coronation Street, more Eastenders. God help any spouses who aren't into soaps! I DO like the soaps, but I think it's all a bit much really.

Why not? Based on her looks do you mean? Or because she's a bit of a moany old nag?

I agree - Emmerdale is becoming the new Coronation Street!

I know its Chirstmas but having everything all fine a dandy is totally not real! At xmas espascially alot of people unfortunatly die from hit and run every year!

Sad reality but true....... even though it wasn't a hit and run but you know what i mean?

”

I thought it was a bit (a bit!) corny. Couple exchange vows in church as couple on deathbed say how much they love each other; couple burst into a cloud of confetti on the happiest day of their lives at the precise moment that Jamie gasps his last and Sonia screams in pain ... yawn, yawn, yawn. Nothing new there - it's all been done before and standard Eastenders directing.

I did love the wedding though - at least it was a nice, happy, normal event rather than the usual soap wedding where you're half expecting someone in the church to jump up and say they're already married, or they've changed their minds etc etc.

I hate the way the story lines are leaked in advance - I think it would have been much better (cerrtainly more shocking) if the camera had been in Martins car and suddenly the whole accident takes place in a couple of seconds with no build up.

And better yet if the story hadn't been leaked and nobody had seen it coming. Now that'd be good TV!

EastEnders was very disappointing. How can Billy Mitchell marry Little Mo like that whilst his nephew is dying and nobody say anything about it. Typical of that show that we had to have a death and marriage at the same time. Why couldn't Billy and Little Mo marry and then Jamie die some other time. Just plain ridiculous.

At least Corrie is keeping the death until mid January and not trying to ruin our Xmas.

I preferred Emmerdale too and I am not a regular viewer. But why again could Louise not just tell the police the truth about the incident with her tormentor. Sometimes scriptwriters just have no idea!

And in real life would anybody really be called LITTLE Mo? Okay, the family refer to her that way to distinguish her from her gran, but if you are marrying someone do you REALLY call them Little Mo? Surely to Billy she'd be THE Mo and the other one Old Mo or Big Mo or whatever. Does he whisper it in her ear at moments of passion? I'd be a bit peed off. Like BABY Louise. Is there ANOTHER Louise?

thats true, I think Little Mo sounds terrible and shes not a kid, so why is she refered to as little? it would make more sense if they just called her Mo and called the gran big mo.

Why has Pats house got 2 different staircases?

Check new year eve and new years day episodes,
I've deleted mine, but am certain for some reason they had changed overnight.( look at the angle, who would live in a house with stairs that steep)

These are special houses, look at all the people they managed to fit into one slater house. At one point they had Charlie, Mo, Zoe, Kat, Garry and Lynee and Donna. Room for more!

Yes, I've often wondered where they all sleep ... Why didn't they just tell Laura to bog off because there was no room at the Inn?

they couldn't say that - she is hardly a virgin, and they don't have a barn complete with a manger!!!!!!!

In exactly the same way as my next door neighbours fit husband / wife and their 10 kids (yes I do mean TEN kids) in a 4 bedroom house and *still* have friends to stay. You simply make do

I do feel Esatenders was very depressing on Christmas Day, I know it tries to mirror life in some way, and that people do die at Christmas, but for those of us that have experianced a death a Christmas do we really need reminding of the heartache it can cause.

For one day a year why can't they just focus on a feel good story and be done with it, the wedding whilst farcical was entertaining and they could have easily made that their Christmas storyline wiythout losing out in the ratings battle, after all they didn't exactly have stifff competition.

On a tangent I did think that the Dot's Story special last night was very good

Ten kids is different though. Garry and Lynne are a couple, so I don't see them sharing with anyone, Kat and Zoe share, so that must mean Mo and Charlie also share?

LOL I can just see Charlie and Mo in bunk beds ... And Little Mo used to live there, and now Laura's staying ... Laura's paying £50 a week - wonder what you get for that? And I remember an episode when Kat first got off with Anthony and she had him back to her place ....

Oh I remember that Episode, Kat had the room to herself and both Zoe and Little Mo lived there at the time?!?

OK I take your point, but it wasn't unheard of for generations of families (with partners) to all live in the same house in relative recent past times.

Maybe the Slaters are in fact a family of Time Lords and their house is in fact a TARDIS
