Streaming Audio?
I have a PC with an absolute tonne of Mp3s on, what's the best (cable free) way of being able to play these through my TV/Amp set up in the other room?
I have Sky+, an XBox360 and a YSP-1000. Thanks in advance |

A friend uses something similar to this
http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?...eria=#criteria You can stream the audio from the PC to the hifi, but with you having SKY+ you can connect your box and PC to that video sender and have your sky radio stations in another room as well. You just have to remember that you need an audio out to scart cable (which are pretty cheap to pick up). Last edited by Markynotts : 08-10-2006 at 09:36. |

I've got the Philips Streamium SL300i that uses wi-fi to stream MP3/WMA from my PC to our TV/hi-fi. It will, in theory, stream MPEG2 video as well but our 802.11 doesn't seem good enough to do this reliably but it works just fine for audio.

Why not have a look at the Squeezebox from Slimdevices, i have had one for almost a year and can't recommend them highly enough.
