Louise certainly has ability and massive potential. Vincent's routines will place a lot of pressure on her though. While having a fast track makes things energetic, losing technique in pursuit of speed weakens a routine as it risks lacking polish. What she has though is a natural fluency about her movements and a heckuva lot of energy, so it should be fun at least.
Peter is not a Latin dancer, I'm afraid. Although he's got a great work ethic and can do very well at ballroom, there is something stiff and ungainly about his movements in Latin. Maybe he and Erin will be going for performance over technique - this was something that Erin mentioned on ITT. I would love for Peter to prove me wrong though. I did think initially he'd be a dark horse, but it looks like Carol's ridden off on it! Speaking of Carol, I love the way she is looking in the training with Matt. They look good together. She is effortlessly elegant and has this dignity and bearing about her that I find really classy. After their Foxtrot experiences, i think these two could do something great.
I was talking about Mr Dawson the other day and agree with the judges that he needs to lose his inhibitions. I still think that he has got the tools to succeed. I'd like him to be more demonstrative and outgoing in his performance and show the audience that he has stepped up beyond the point where Spoony might have been had he stuck around. I don't think desire is the problem as Arlene has stated. It's more of bringing out the emotional connection in the audience and in Lilia while they dance together.
Can't wait to see Claire and Brendan. Their Rumba was my favourite dance of week two and I'd like them to let their dancing take centre stage rather than the tabloid stories. They look good together and Claire will be eager to prove she can dance elegantly. She can dance and I'd like to see her do well.
Maybe I'm being swayed by the BBC's editing and articles, but what I will say is that this is the best crop of celebs I've seen across four series. I love the fact that there is a higher standard this year and it will be great to see how they all fare tomorrow.
