That are arranged and sung to make them appear to be the dullest and blandest songs ever written.

If you like that music, and some of it is lovely, at least listen to it sung and performed by good singers and musicians.

Westlife suck the heart and soul out of every song they touch.

Too true. And there are so many talented musicians out there trying to live their dream but are struggling to break through, then you have four average blokes singing bland stuff they didn't even write and getting No1 after No1. Oh what a crazy world we live in

They must have sung more covers than a pub band. They did Allow us to be Frank as well, wasn't that a covers album too? Why don't they take a risk now and then?

Because they take the route that makes them millionaires. Not everyone is in music to be poor and artistic!

They must have been millionaires years ago though. Mind you, they have to pay out on royalties to the people who wrote the songs so we shall see more of the same from them for the next 20 years. On the other hand, buy the original versions of these songs, they'll be better.

I just despair thinking about the damage the sickly oirish bozos are going to do to songs like The Commodores beautiful 'Easy' and one of the greatest love ballads of all time when sung by the amazing Righteous Brothers 'You've Lost That Loving Feeling'

They are such a sorry excuse for a music act, relying on hits from crap cover versions - awful.

Well, I was dubious about a cover album, but I like the songs and will be interested to hear Westlife's versions.

If you don't like it, don't buy it, why waste energy posting about how bad it will be without hearing it? Strange.

They have done too many covers, but I do enjoy hearing their voices and their versions, so am going to be buying it, and hoping for an original album next year!

Because everything Westlife do sounds the same.
Bland, dull cover versions sung by 4 men with very average, undistinctive voices without even the slightest hint of emotion. IMHO, of course.

I didn’t. I posted that “Westlife suck the heart and soul out of every song they touch” based on what I have heard to date.

If I and others didn’t post critical comments, Westlife fans might think that everyone liked Westlife.

That would be track 4 . Light Up My Life , expect further tracks to be aired during the tearful/joyous moments during the current run of X-Factor, courtesy of Louis Walsh's endless free product placing promotion.

Heaven forbid! Surely not?!

(P.S. Us fans do get a bit of an inkling that they're not everyone's cup of tea. Call us intuitive!)

What a truly horrible album idea - MORE COVERS! Why can't Westlife do us all a favour and split up! and stop ruining other people's songs!

How could they cover Total Eclipse of the Heart? I have nothing against Westlife but that song should be left well alone.

Having heard the album in full, I'm not impressed. When it gets to the point when all you can do is release a covers album, after 8 years, I think it's time to give it up.

These jerks make me wanna heave . . . . . .

I really can't think of anything worse than a Christmas Westlife album, no doubt accompanied by spewing videos of their vommit wrenching faces . . . . . Yuk . . . . .

How calculating . . . . .These gits should be ashamed of themselves. At least Brian had the decency to see that & leave.

Rubbish- It'll sell millions and make them even richer.
Makes sense to me.
It's the people who buy it who should be ashamed of themselves.

Where about 70% of the tracks will be covers, including most of the singles they release from it
