Maybe a little early, there's a few months left yet, but if you could list your top 5 so far...

After everyone's stopped fighting it'll be december anyway, and we can list the DSF top 5 albums of 2006.

If I had to pick one, it would probably be One Day It Will Please Us to Remember Even This by The (New) New York Dolls.

I might come back and change my mind though. Depends what comes out and what mood im in.

--EDIT--
Oh right, sorry, I missed the whole "Top 5" thing!
I'll think about it.

This. Can't believe I forgot that album, swap that with the B&S album.

The CSS album was a bit disappointing for me, after hearing and enjoying 'Let's Make Love' and 'Music is my Hot, Hot Sex' for ages it felt like a big let down. Hot chip was inconsistent. Tilly & the Wall and The Dears are both v. good too.

Joanna Newsom - Ys

This thread is too early imo but 'Ys' is so incredible that it's a no-brainer for me this year.

Not mad on the Snow Patrol album but the others are all very decent choices.

Tool - 10,000 Days

And that's it... Unless the remaster of Songs Of Faith And Devotion counts, but I don't think it will

Endless Wire by The Who.

It's not actually out yet, but I'm confident it will be album of the year.

Moloko's "Best Of" by a mile.

Christina's "Back To Basics" is the non-hits collection album I've bought this year.
