Now that blackholes and revelations has been played to death and my dvds are all worn out, i went back and listened to all my old muse stuff.

which are now your top four in order,

mine is

1 absolution
2 blackholes
3 origins of
4 showbiz

only my opinon and we aint had a muse thread on here for at least 86 hours, so this seems like a good excuse to start one.

Showbiz
Hullabaloo
Black holes & Revelations
Origin of Symmetry
Absolution.

That order, ish. I'd say BH&R and OofS are as good as each other.

I dont call Hullabaloo an album.. just a treat for the fans

Id say Origin is my favorite album, then B&R, Absolution and then Showbiz.

Not to say Showbiz is naff.. its excellent.

This reminds me... I need to get hold of the CD thats got Dead Star and In Your World on it...

Absoloution
Showbiz
OOS
BHR

That's not to say I don't like the album ( I do), I just don't rate it as highly as the others. Absoloution and Showbiz are virtually inseperable imho.

I don't know why everyone's going crazy over Black Holes & Revelations. Absolution pisses all over it, and it's too similar to everything else they've done albeit not as good. Showbiz was before they properly established their sound, even though it's still great - I'd say that now it would be seen as their most 'different' album.

Oooh good question. Ok, let's think.

I think each album is amazing and has it's own amazing tracks and my opinion does tend to change every time I listen to them so here goes.

1.Origin Of Symmetry- This was the album that got me into them so it has that special place in my heart. Stand-out track are Bliss, Plug In Baby, Space Dementia and Citizen Erased.

2. Absolution- This album is out of this world amazing. Love the fact that there's a lot of piano tracks in it. Stand-out tracks are Apocalypse Please, Stockhom Syndrome, Hysteria and The Small Print.

3. Black Holes And Revelations- I love this album but I think it's too early to rate it any higher. I need to wait a while to see it it'll pass the test of time. I'm sure it could well overtake the other albums given time. Stand-out tracks are Map Of The Problematique, Assassin, Knights Of Cydonia and City Of Delusion.

4. Showbiz- This album is fantastic but in comparison to the others it sounds like Muse are just finding their feet at this point. For me, Origin is where they became gods...but this is a good, solid foundation. Stand-out tracks are Sunburn, Fillip, Overdue and Hate This And I'll Love You.

Hullaballoo for me is not considered an actual album...like someone else said, it's like a special treat for fans. I love it though.

My opinions are likely to change the moment I post this though.

since my opening post i have changed my mind, origins is now my fave, but to be honest, i change my mind everyday, it depends what mood i am in.

Plug in baby, i totally agree with your selection of standout tracks except Black Holes, where i am still playing take a bow to death.

Definitely -
1.Absolution
2.Origin of Symmetry
3.Showbiz
4.Black Holes and Revelations

That's not to say that i think BHAR is in any way poor, i just like the others more.

Ooh yay, another muse thread! I just can't choose between three as my favourite - Showbiz, Absolution and Origin of Symmetry, though I think Showbiz pips it, followed by the other two. BHAR is good, but the others are in a different league.
Can't wait for the tour to start...

Muse's new album was not as good as the last album and Showbiz.

Showbiz was Muse's best album.
