I have a humax pvr, great for recording freeview but will not record analogue tv or from my sat box. Is there a hdd recorder out there somewhere that will do what i want. I'm looking for one without a dvd player/recorder built in

But they are an ebay exclusive. But why do you need to record analogue? Your Humax can record 2 different things simultaneously while you either watch an earlier recording,or in some cases watch a 3rd channel |

there are a number of channels i don't get on freeview (the humax will only record from freeview) but are on my satellite box. I could just watch the programmes as they are broadcast but i gotten used to skipping adverts - but thanks for the tivio

There are certainly digital video recorders available (hard disk only), but they are not really designed for TV recording. They are usually intended for connecting to CCTV for example. However, I don't see any reason why you couldn't use them for recording off a STB. A quick Google search has come up with this.

Humax for Freeview recording. Sky+160 for Sky recording Pioneer 420(new models out now) for recording from motorised satellite (naughty boy! )Pioneer 630 for CCTV. The 420 can also be used for editing your satellite and Humax recordings before burning them to DVD. Don't bother with Tivo if you only want to record from Euro satellite |
