All the DSG sites are such shite i cannot get any information abou this machine. From what i have seen from an advert on telly it is a Bush dvd player with the bunch of speakers for £99 (also i have £35 vouchers from them )

Can anyone tell me if this machnine is any good, or tell me the model number so i can go huntiong the net for reviews. I hope to go down to Curry's today.

I was passing a Currys at 9.15 today and called in out of curiosity to see if they had any for sale( too often Dixon Group offers seem to sell out within minutes of the store opening!) To my surprise they had some and I bought one. I haven't opened the box and I think I'll take it back. The £99 price is a savings over the price elsewhere but, I ask myself, do I really want this piece of kit that appears so cheap and nasy.

Well i went to get mine anyway. For £100 (or £64 in my case) it does perform very well. It seems to be a bad design that 3 sets of phono plugs (RCA's) have to come out of the DVD into the subwoofer then out again to the extra speakers. I think the kit performs very well, the only problem i find with it is the DVD/TV feature. On the back of the subwoofer is a switch that switces from DVD to TV - i have my NTL box linked to the TV part but when the switch is set to DVD a faint whisper of the NTL box can be heard.

Im quite happy with my purchase, now im off to see if i can get firmware upgrades for the machine.

Does anyone know if Bush have a website? I have searched the model numbers of the 'Daolby' digital speaker kit and the DVD player itself but i cannot find a Bush site anywhere - if i search 'Bush' in something like Google all i get is a bunch of pages for George W.

I know it's a lot more money but Comet are doing a special on the JVC TH-A5 at £249. That was £399 not so long ago and it's a good piece of kit.

I bought a Bush 2024 DVD player for some one. Cost £50 in Pwerhouse (not online). Great little machine, good quality, nice and easy controls (puts my Sony to shame in that department), 1 RGB scart, S-Video, Optical and coaxial for DD5.1/DTS. Not sure, but I think it's got analogue Left + Right RCA phonos for Stereo on to the HIFI. Came with a scart cable. Works very well with almost no difference in quality to my Sony 701 machine.
