iPod battery indicator and volume limit questions
Hello all,
I've read on the net that I can change the display on my 5G to indicate how much percentage or time is left instead of the approximate green bar... How do I do it? Does it ruin anything such as the warranty? Also, As I don't want to turn deaf, I'd like to limit the volume output... What level should it be at (on the volume limiter thing) so that it can't create any lasting damage with earbuds? I currently have it at 50%... Thanks, gaffer |

I would love to hear about the bat level.
But as for the volume - whatever feels right. You should know if it is too loud. |

http://www.ipodwizard.net has a pretty good program that you can change the look of the iPod theme and they have some that let you see how much battery life is left in numbers. No, it doesn't void the warranty because you can always revert back to it.

With the volume, always remember that if you listen on the tube or when surrounded by loud noises (and you have to turn the volume up) - you will be putting a very loud noise into your ears plus the background noise.
Consider all of the factors and set the volume limit so that you can turn it up a little if there is a lot of background noise, but so that it's not extremely loud when there is no background noise. |

I'm very cautious about volume, I was just wondering what the "recommended scientific limit" was...
Also, regarding the battery, iPod wizard thing doesn't seem to be it... gaffer |
