mpeg2 DVD players
Can anyone recommend a stand-alone DVD player that will reliably play mpeg2 streams on DVD-R disks from DVB-T broadcasts recorded onto a PC and burnt to DVD using Nero software in ISO or UDF format. Some Players have trouble playing some recordings (higher bit rates?). All recordings play OK on a PC.
Thanks. |

It's nothing to do with high bitrates, DVB streams are fairly low variable bitrate. Some DVD authoring software seems to get confused though, TMPGEnc DVD Author thinks the bitrate is too high and will pop up an error. If you are after something cheap then try the Dual player from Asda, they will play raw MPEG's albeit widescreen material is displayed with the wrong aspect ratio. That's only raw MPEG though, it plays everything else fine.
Edit - try DVD Patcher, just used it on one of my recordings and TMPGEnc DVD Author accepted it without the usual error message. http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tools...uthorfeatures= Last edited by fredkite : 09-10-2006 at 17:17. |
