Georgina Quits

Before this series of S.C.D. started someone said that a Casualty star always quit around this time. Well it's true, here's the story from MSN:

Amid the flurry of reports about new additions to Holby City's cast, there is sad news to be found, as Holby.TV revealed actress Georgina Bouzova has decided to quit sister show Casualty.

Bosses at the long-running medical drama are keeping mum about the nature of the star's departure. They said: "She leaves in a dramatic storyline at the end of the year.

At least we can enjoy the actress strutting her stuff over the next few weeks as she takes part in the BBC's latest series of Strictly Come Dancing.

She'll be hoping to last a little longer than Holby City's Jaye Jacobs, who foundered during the competition's early rounds last year.

Bouzova joined Casualty in 2004, when her character Ellen Zitek arrived out of the blue.

Over the next two years, she schemed her way into the lives of half-sister Nina (Rebekah Gibbs) and her boyfriend Abs (James Redmond).

After seducing the latter and blackmailing him into marriage, she was thrown out onto the street and left to fend for herself.

More recently, the character has had to contend with a cancer battle, following a brief affair with senior medic Harry Harper (Simon MacCorkindale).

Bouzova is also appearing in pantomime this Christmas, playing Snow White in Croydon.

Apparently this may be true, she supposedly left rehearsals on sunday v upset after rowing with james, who seems to be very unsupportive. Is he another fiery Brendan or just not very nice?

Wasn't there a clip on Saturday's show where he was telling Georgina she needed to lose some weight?

I was going to ask that, I thought I heard it but wasn't sure. She may not be skin and bone, but she's a nice healthy size and i thought the comment was entirely unneccessary. Being married to the gobsmacking Ola is not carte blanche to be rude about other women's appearance!

Last year, Ian made a comment about Zoe getting fit and not eating packets of crisps, but later they said it was taken completely out of context, so maybe this clip was too.

yes, there was some mention of that, think it was just before the group dance. I think she is a healthy weight, hardly fat, not a very positive thing for him to say on national tv!

Hhhhmm, lets hope that sun article is the product of their usually cr*p approach to journalism, and not based on any facts at all, cos he's not sounding too great in it. Where did that last post go, by the way? Was it removed for containing a link?

It doesnt do him a lot of favours what with being upset about Ola kissing Spoony and then upsetting Georgina he wont win any popularity votes being like that wonder if they will show any of their training on ITT?
Thanks for posting that link.

James said for a dancer she would have to lose a few pounds otherwise she looks good.

Isn't he now training that Hong Kong banker Monica Wong who sued their old teacher for calling her a fat cow in public?

It doesn't actually she "she's quit"... just that she's not dancing...for the moment...

Does make James out to be a bit firey though - sounds like he'll be giving Brendan a run for his money!!

She's head of HSBC in Asia so I know where I won't be banking!

I've just seen a pro-am result for a James Jordan and Monica Wong but don't know if it's the same person because of course he dances pro with Ola. I know some pros do both but with that amount of money to spend I'd expect Ms Wong would demand a lot of his time.

A BBC journalist friend of mine says that the Sun usually get their stories on the button, it is their sister paper (The News of the Screws) that takes a cavalier attitude to the truth.

I saw Georgina interviewed on some show before Strictly began and she mentioned that James had told her to lose weight.. but she said she wasn't sticking to her diet and not to tell James... she doesnt' need to lose a thing! I hope she is not discouraged from Strictly... though have admit her character on Casualty irritated me.. and I don't get how she went from being such an awful character to acceptable again?

Personally I think James is well out of line. Telling her she needs to lose weight is bad enough but calling her the stuff that article claims he did makes him cross a whole other line that he should not have crossed. What exactly gives him the right to talk to her like that? I happen to know for a fact Georgie is not a lippie cow in fact she's anything but.

I wouldn't blame her if she did refuse to dance with him ever again, however I hope she does dance on Saturday not for him but for herself.
