Arlene has never seemed to like Erin, and has used that name since series 2 from what i can remember, everyone she has danced with has always achieved their potential and seem to love her. On her own forum people who have dancing lessons with her say she is great. I have met her and found her to be friendly and really lovely.
I think she works really hard and likes to do well, and just wants her partners to do the best they can.

I've been to a number of her classes - she's not "bad" ie horrid / mean, but she's fairly strict and gets results - I thought it was while teaching Colin Jackson that she got the name, but I think he responded to that style being an athelete. I think its all in jest nowadays and she plays on it, its not really rude.

I went to Erin's group class for about 6 months before she had to stop for SCD. She's an amazing teacher. She's not harsh or mean, just firm! The other teachers I've had make sure everyone has got every little thing right before they move on, which for me is too slow. Erin just goes with it and if you can't keep up then tough! But you do keep up, it makes you concentrate.

yeah totally agree with that way of learning aw i'd love her to teach me
For some reason I can't take to Erin.
She doesn't give off an air of friendliness or seem as approachable as the others.
There's something a little stand offish about her which doesn't endear her to me.
She's made a few catty comments about other contestants over the last couple of series and before everyone rushes to shoot me down I realise she is a professional and takes her profession seriously however there's just something about her which I can't help disliking.

ok i won't shoot you down promise but really the worst she said was about zoe not deserving a 10 but most of the people on the show like her so like len loves her i just think she could be someone that is hard to get to know she just doesn't show her emotions very well which i totally understand as neither do .
just give her a chance! plz
I understand where people come from when they say she seems unapproachable, and doesnt show her emotions i think we have seen most of the pro females crying but not Erin, i guess she is very disciplined and waits till shes off air - so to speak, but having met her she is genuinly friendly and had no problems talking to everyone. All her celebs have got on great and catty comments make for good viewing!!!im sure all the nice stuff is cut as that is the image she now has.
You either love her or hate her - categorically speaking, i think she is great and just has the best interests of her celeb at heart and obviously that doesnt always come across.

I don't disagree with you c g and she may well be the type of character you suggest, but I do find it difficult to take to her.
It would be nice to see a softer side of her and then perhaps I may change my mind.
