Nigel Harman in The Caretaker
Is anyone going to see Nigel at the Crucible Theatre, Sheffield? If so, please post comments about his performance. He starts today, 11th October and is there for one month. If people give favourable views I may try and get to see him.

Saw it last night. Play not really my thing, but Nigel was great and I met him afterwards. Chuffed.

I'm seeing it on Thurday. I have front row seats and before you all start I like the sound of the play and I like Pinter's work. But having Mr Harman in it is a great bonus indeed.

What happened to Guys and Dolls? Did it finish, or is someone else playing Sky Masterton now?

Am also going to Brum a couple of times to see him again in Guys and Dolls, he is fantastic as Sky and I love the musical - I have seen it a couple of times in London with the various cast changes. So you met him then? Was it at the stage door? Details please

Details please ![]() ![]() Yes I waited at the stage door, I think he only went out once he knew the numbers had dwindled, there were only four of us at that point, but people weren't very patient since it was only about 20 mins! He seemed quite shy - wearing his baseball cap, he took us into the entrance so he wouldn't be spotted! Really nice guy tho - happily signed my Caretaker programme, and my Guys and Dolls programme (he dedicated the first one too, without me asking!). He asked if I saw G&D (does that mean there are crazy fans who get the programme and DON'T see the show?!) and if we liked The Caretaker. He told us about doing G&D in Brum, and he didn't know it was coming to Sheffield. Maybe he'll decide to do it there as well I mentioned the G&D stage door crowds, he said it was a bit freaky LOL.Then I went to the bar and noticed Nigel had gone there too! As were the other two cast. Not sure if they'll go to the bar every night... Last edited by CharityDingle : 13-10-2006 at 14:57. |

He is quite shy actually - never without his baseball cap! I hope to catch him when I travel up next week. If not I will try and catch him G&D . You're so lucky getting to meet him - am very jealous!

I'm really pleased that comments in this thread have been positive about Nigel. He's taken a lot of stick for his role in The Outsiders which I think is largely undeserved. The latest comment from "The Stage" talks about Anna Maddely surviving the car crash that was Outsiders! Quite unjustified I thought.
It is Press night tomorrow for "The Caretaker" so let's hope the reviews are favourable. |

Absolutely true! EE is barely worth watching now the established characters have left. |

Tonight's performance of The Caretaker is Press night so it will be interesting to see what the reviews have to say over the next few days.
