I'm looking for a SAT NAV system for a christmas present , it's primarily for UK use , I'd like a big screen and minimal trailing wires and possibly but not imperative , Bluetooth . Any suggestions please ?

Well i have to say i love my Garmin Nuvi 360, it tells you the names of the roads that you are about to turn into i.e. in 200 meters turn left onto the Highstreet, i hardly look at the screen because of this, ists cool. And the signal it recieves i found much better than Tom Tom and the Garmin in small enough to put in your pocket even though it has a 3.5"screen, dont be fooled by the Tom Toms 4" because its widescreen it actually seems smaller (to me anyway) probably because its not as tall and you see less of the forthcoming road ahead, overalll i would rate the Garmin 360 a 9/10 and the Tom Tom (cant remember the model number that i had but it too spoke the road names) a 6/10.

i have had tomtom ever since the first few months they started they are acutally less configurable now than they were then, you get what you pay for really, but reading your review of the Garmin it sounds impressive especially the road name reading as well what a cool feature, has the reader actually recorded each road name or have they just said a couple of words and the Garmin translates what they have said to make it sound similar to the road name, ( ie is it a robotic pronounciation?)
