Just come back from the rehearsals and here's what I have seen...

Brendan and Claire's Rhumba looks amazing - they have great chemistry. Just watch the bit where Claire's head is dipped right down to the floor.

Matt Dawson, Peter Schmeichel, Carol Smilie and Ray were all hanging around. Spoony was leaving the building as I left.

The camera which films the close-ups on the floor is amazing. It functions similar to a hovercraft - the cameraman uses just one hand to run about with it... and it is very big, just kept of the floor by a lot of wind!!

Did you see Carol Smilie dance her rumba ?

Yay! How exciting to be there to watch rehearsals, you lucky duck! I'm so pleased that Brendan and Claire are looking good, fingers crossed they do really well tomorrow and start their competition off on a high. Thanks for the inside scoop!

Arlene was mean about them! She's not allowed to me mean, I love Matt too much. Carol could be screwing it up completely and I wouldn't notice! Not crazy about their song though. In fact, I hate it, dirves me mental. But it's Matt, so I'll cope!

Emma Bunton shouldn't have anything to cry about tonight. She looked the part, and apart from one mistake in the rehearsal which forced the pair to start again, I think she is going to do great.

Carol Smilie did a couple of rehearsals for the bit she did live on BBC2 last night. What a pro, and she did some ad-libs which were not in the original rehearsals. She seems to have a good off-screen rapport with her partner.

Mica was about too but others ladies not seen.

The group professional dance looks amazing.

They were dancing to and used in the sequence.

Also, one of the male pros was rehearsing a lift with Brendan. There are lots of lifts in the sequence, but not sure why Brendan was going up, lol. Perhaps he was a stand-in lady.

I'm so excited about seeing the pro Jive and especially about seeing Matt and Nicole Jive again for the first time in 3 years. They are awesome and the whole routine just sounds great from what i've heard!

Which Male pro was lifting Brendan?

I'm not sure. I don't really recognise many of the men... with all the women looking soooo fabulous, lol.

Well, it's that time again. The SCD set is being put back together as I type. Sadly, tomorrow, I won't be able to get much goss as work is taking me away in the afternoon, and that's when it all kicks off.

The set is already up today, but I don't think anything is due to happen earlier. I suspect that no-one has needed the studio since last Sat, so they left it standing.

I know someone who works at the BBC, helps with set up of lighting etc, do you know any of them? Might get you to pass a message on for me if that's ok?

Lots of lighting being tested out today but the real action starts later this afternoon !!

Louisa and Vincent are dancing now... the foxtrot to Erma Franklin's Take a Little Piece of my Heart. She's looking nervous and not that confident, but her footwork looks great (to a novice like me). There was some discussion with technical bods before a third (could be more) attempt.

Random fact - the dance floor is 'sprung' and has to be installed each week... can't be having the dancers on the BBC concrete !!
