Hey all just got a new tv in the house , now i need help setting it up with the VCR and the DVD recorder and SKY . Whats the best way to set it up to get maximum quality ? Its a LCD tv and got 2 Scarts . I was thinking of having

Arial in to Sky
Wire from Sky to Video
Wire from Video to TV
Scart Video to TV
Scart SKY to tv

When the DVD player is needed just take the VCR wires out and put the DVD wires in there places . Thats how it was on the old TV and had Sky tuned in to a channel aswell as having it on the AV same with the video .

Any help is appreicated

If your DVD recorder does RGB record (or allows RGB pass through)then connect as follows

Sky TV scart -> DVD input (prob AV2)
DVD output (prob AV1) -> TV RGB in

Sky VCR scart -> VCR scart

This will let you record RGB from Sky with the DVD recorder. You can record with the VCR (should you wish) and play VCRs as you wish.

To watch a DVD just turn it on and play it.
To watch Sky leave the DVD in standby and turn Sky on.
To watch a Video leave the DVD in standby and play the video, Sky will let it through.
