I don't know much about who Donal MacIntyre is or what he's best known for or what he's like or anything, but he's going to punch Darren Day in the face and therefore I think deserves our support. Go Donal!

Word of warning though - the Sunday Mirror describes Day as "black belt in kickboxing" here - and they're pretty fastidious about checking their facts, the Mirror.

Donal MacIntyre did those excellent undercover documentories. One of them was infiltrating a football fight starting group. The old peoples home one was discredited but still good stuff.

Mel & Sue were talking to Donal McIntyre by phone on their 'RI:SE' slot on Friday. Apparently Darren Day has pulled out of the fight and the makers of the show are now hurredly looking for a replacement.
Donal will be appearing, in person, on 'RI:SE' on Monday (27 Jan) so we shall hopefully get the full story then.

Wouldn't it be easier to simply merge the "Celeb Boxing"-type show with Donal's day-job "Investigative Journalism"-type show and have Donal McIntyre with a hidden camera crew chase Darren Day round London asking him for a fight?
