Well they didn't flesh it out much tonight: onstage 2115, played about 45 minutes, went off for a few minutes, came back for about 20 minutes. They played a couple of covers (not wanting to spoil it, but one is a very White Stripes version of a Sixties classic), put a lot of energy into their own songs, Jack and Brendan careering into each other and swapping microphones. Very loud, very harsh sound.

The support band were good, nice American bar-room blues-rock.

I've seen them, unmissable! Thirteen songs including a ten minute cover version of "Bang Bang Shot You Down" and an official CD of the gig handed out after the show for £15 wasn't bad at all.

that's not too bad - quality over quantity certainly, but the album is only about 35 mins. looking forward to it tho' - seen the white stripes three times already, the last being their awesome headlining set at glastonbury.

a bit of live blues sounds good - it's one of those things i wouldn't really buy, but will probably love live.

is that 'handed out' or 'sold for £15'?

Did you get the CD then? Is it any good? They can't have spent any time mixing it, so the quality must be quite variable. And is it literally a CD? I've had those "free" disks at other gigs where you have to pay to download the live track and it turns out to be a Windows only file rather than a genuine CD.

just got back from Rock City, cracking gig could have done with more than 75 mins tho'. Wont say more or it'll spoil it for the people going on the forthcoming dates.
Big Bang were good as well, retro 70's FM rock radio sound, make sure you're there in time to check them out as well.

I was quite far back at Brixton so couldn't see the full majesty of the drummer's beard, but after checking out Bigbang on Youtube I recommend you get close enough to see it in all its glory. Good band.

just got back from Wolverhampton - Brilliant gig. Jack seems to have more fun with his "mates " than he does with his sister.
Listened to the live CD on the way home - good sound, and an excellent reminder of the night
Bigbang were well worth catching as well - the best Norwegian rock band I've ever seen ...

yup - they were great at wolverhampton.

were the CDs £15 and limited to 1,000 - should probably have a look at the website, and see if there's anything to download.
