Aww Anthony, bless him. So what if he's gay? He's lovely. It broke my heart when I found out John Barrowman (new series on the BBC "Torchwood") was gay....nothing can ever be as bad as that
I was annoyed at Simon for being so insensitive. As another poster has already said, he's 17, and probably has been told he's "odd" by every straight, jock style guy he's ever met. Simon needs to put his brain in gear before he opens his mouth. I'm also pleased Anthony's put on a bit of weight.....he looked so gaunt and afraid at bootcamp.

The lads did well last night. I've known James for years, and apparently Anthony isn't gay. If that's true, he's the campest straight man I've ever seen!

I was impressed that they got Lionel's backing, and I thought they really stepped it up a notch after some dodgy performances in the last few rounds. Louis really got their song choice right...I think he let the other three of his groups down in that respect.

He's the more vocal one out of the four, that I've seen, who said that it meant a lot that they got put through.

He is amazing - and the lads with him too did a great job.- did they really only get together a week before the auditions?

It's inevitable that Anthony is going to get all the attention as he really has a fascinating quality about him and a fabulous voice, but they blend really well together as a band. I hope they get through to the final.

On their photo, he's the one on the very right! And yeah, just a few days before, although they'd been at the same school for a while if I remember right.

I was just looking at the biography thingy and I noticed it said Anthony and his 3 sisters and 1 brother are living with his 71 year old Gran. She must be like Supergran to have the energy to bring up 5 grandchildren at 71!!! I hope we get to meet her!!!

Simon's done Anthony a favour! first off he remarks 'you're odd' - which has the effect of making people watching nod their heads in agreement or get all irate about simon's comment! but it MAKES SURE he's noticed and spoken about well after the performance has come and gone.

secondly, Simon did say 'yes, but odd is good' and that he really liked them.

now everyone's talking about him - being odd, arguing the descriptor saying 'distinctive/unusual/exotic'.. he's on the map and Simon's well and truly keeping him in the spotlight.

Another Eton Road fan here. Did like them throughout the auditions, but didn't think they were anything special.

However, I was so impressed last night, and will be rooting for them, from now on. They're different than conventional boybands. Anthony is just fab!

When Eton Road came on, for some reason I didn't expect them to be that good, maybe competent but nothing special. So when they started singing I was actually blown away by them.

The were fantastic, they look great, and come across as such a likeable bunch of guys.

I didn't like them at all - before last night. I was suitably impressed.

Not overly impressed at the auditions although I was surprised at the strength and range of Anthony's voice coming from such a frail looking lad. Glad to see he's looking healthier and yet still restaining his distinctive style.

Last night I thought they were arguably the best on the night, made me sit up and take notice, although there was just a hair between them and Ben - the only other person who managed not to go flat or off-key. Good on 'em and I hope they go far in the competition.

Love Eton Road, thought they were fantastic in their first audition & have been a fan ever since!

As for Anthony - well what can I say? He's amazing looks and sound wise, deffinitely my favourite member of the band (although I do think they're all great ) he's got something about him & it was him that drew me to the band from the begining.

Good question??? It's irritating how we know so much about some contestants and relatively little about others whose lives sound just as interesting.

haha im nosey a lot of the time too but im glad hes not went down the personal story route and the band are just wanting to folk to know about them by their singing as it should be
