Hmmmm very interesting observation from you. It had slipped my mind....why have a list? If you think someone is outstanding as he mentioned, surely it would be on the foremost of his mind and at the tip of his tongue.

well, MB, it looks like once again we'll have to differ on opinions here. a man of LR's status isn't desperate to get a gig on prime time Brit TV imo - i'm sure with his money he could HIRE prime time TV for the night if he so chose to. unless he's a closet near-bankrupt and really needs to sell his latest record. the only reason he wasn't on set longer in front of the cameras is that he's been ill with a nasty lil virus- and that's why he had to pull out of a longer stint than he took part in and refused to kiss anyone. he almost had to cancel the whole thing. that is, of course, if the story put out is true - maybe he's another jacked-up, hacked-off, by-product of money and drugs, climbing the wall for his next coke fix and trying to get his act together enough to spend just those few minutes on the show???

ay, he may well have been playing the 'i'm nice, listen to me be nice' card, but then why choose the acts he did? were they the only names he could remember?

Its as Lionel himself said, its about potential, not an already competant act.

If any already competant acts he was refering to were there on Saturday night performing, no wonder he chose the acts he did to praise.
