The Archos web site http://www.archos.com/products/video...try=gb&lang=en

is advertising that the above plug in is due to arrive any time for the new Archos 604, 504 and the 404.

Does anybody know if this plug in will be compatible with the Archos Av500 series?

If not- why will it not work? Is it not worth trying or is it likely to cause the Av500 to malfunction/damage etc...?

I do like the idea of this new plug in as they will be no need to convert the video to an Avi format saving alot of time.
