Olympus MJU 810.

Oh, and UKDigitalCameras are an awesome company to deal with, i bought a couple of cameras from there, fantastic service. Much better than i've ever had with Amazon and the likes!

I've got an older Olympus and it's been great, i know a lot of people with the 7MP version of that camera, and they've all been very impressed.

Lovely camera, too. Looks and feels nicer than the Fuji.

Oh yeah, if not better IMO.

Never been impressed with the Canon IXUS.

Also, the Panasonic FX01 is worth a look, if you're wanting something very small!

What's putting you off the Olympus?

I've got nothing but praise for all the Olympus cameras i've seen, also, they even come with a 2yr guarantee!

I've never been overly impressed by Fuji cameras to be honest.

The olympus has mroe noise than the fuji and also the lcd screen deosnt have a filter so the sunlight reflects on it. Although i cant seem to find any dark test shots for the olympus to see how it handles low light either.

Just to throw another one into the bag, have a look at the casio range, I know you'll probably say CASIO really, have search especially the z750 or z850 they really easy to use and have really good results, the video quality on mpeg4 movie mode is excellant especially on the z750 its on a par with my sony handycam. Problem with digital cams so many to choose from. Good luck in decision. Second ukdigital cameras really good service and after service.

im after a new digital camera to, about £100-£120 only go use it a few times ayear so dont need top spec one, i've narrowed it down to the sony cybershot s600 or panasonic lumix dmc-ls2, still reading reviews etc but am swaying towards the sony one, much stronger flash 7meters and also the sshutter lag (time from pushing button to actualy taking picture) is the quickest i've seen so far! only problem is it doesnt take standard memory cards, also not sure of battery life yet, also noticed not every digital camera can plug straight into normal tv set so you can view pictures and video! thought that would be standard thing now1.

This is an excellent site for digital camera reviews:

www.dpreview.com

It's a US site, so some of the model names/numbers are different but you can usually work out the UK equivalent.

The z750 and z850 are pretty good on the quality front especially with the option of manual settings to mess around with. The s500, s600, z600 arent as good, if you are really bothered about stunning results apart from that they very good are point and shooters.

A good web site to compare images taken with various cameras is steve's digicams:

http://www.steves-digicams.com/hardware_reviews.html

Each camera reviewed there has sample pictures which tend to generally include the same scenes, so you can directly compare one model's images with another.

The rundowns on each camera's features are pretty comprehensive although the conclusions are a little less useful (in that every camera seems to be great).
