I was thinking he would have a better chance without his group. Maybe in the future he will ditch them and become a solo star.

Nooo he shouldn't go it alone - the other guys are great singers also and it works really well as a team. It's their charm all together which makes them so good.

he doesn't need support..

i found myself wishing he'd sang my girl on his own.

the other guys are great and can be a trio

but anthony is a real find

I get the feeling he doesn't have the confidence to go it alone.
The others are his safety net I think.

His voice has a lovely quality.
His inexperience shows, however, but, with a bit more coaching and self belief, he can be really good. He's only a young pup.
Some of his notes gave me goosebumps.

Some people just need a comfort blanket. I just get the feeling he needs the others with him.......for now.
Maybe the show will give him the necessary confidence to go solo.

His voice is lovely, there is no doubt about that IMO.

They aren't in his category, otherwise Simon would have enthused about him/them.

I love Eton Road but have to confess on when I was watching the show I did get this strange urge to run on set and tell Anthony and Ray to swap places because Ant could easily do it on his own and Ray needed the vocal help of a group. They are around the same age, both have dark hair and liverpool accents, trust me nobody would notice if they just swapped places next Saturday...

Is this the guy that looks like a romulan? in fact he looks the spitting image of Commander Tebok

Anyone else notice this?

His voice ain't that good and to be honest, he'll get nowhere looking that...

He needs the good looks from other band members. Harsh but true.

Leona Dionne and Nikitta are better than anthony IMO

being the best x-factor act isn't the issue..

it's a sad state of affairs that he has to enter the x-factor

he has a decent voice. he wouldnt last 5 minutes on the charts though. come to think of it, neither would Eton Road.

Hi Thms

I was thinking the same on hearing him, he really could make it alone, he is head and shoulders above the others. The group is good, but Anthony is carrying them to that final and I think they know that, they must have been ecstatic to have found such a good lead singer.
