Anthony dont realise he is good, and as I see it , the group give Him the confidence to do it, whilst yes he is the group , he is 17, and I'm sure he hasn't the confidence to stand alone, I think it works for him NOW , but wait til he is 22 he will break away I think , but for now he needs them , they need him! , Like John and paul ( fab 4 liverpool lads, remember them)

The only quirky thing about him is that he's in a boy band singing karikoke classics on the telly, when any self respecting emaciated goth kid his age should be locked in his bedroom smoking rollies and listening to My Chemical Romance.

LOL. Think you've just inspired me to wear my favourite festival t shirt today, it says

CHEER UP GOTH over a big smiley face.

I think most of you are wrong, Anthony has a fantastic voice but he is no solo artist, he needs the bolstering and backup of a band to bounce off of. As the band grow and develop musically familiarity will give them an instinctive knowledge of just how to showcase Anthony and by extension themselves to all of their advantages.
Anthony was made to be the flamboyant, charismatic (when he gets old enough to develop some charisma) outrageous (when he gets old enough for it to be outrageous and not just adolescent posturing) frontman of a band. I could wish the others were also instrumentalists but they do their bit and none of them is at all bad per se, as an ensemble they make sense together and it works.

I think I would be bored of just Ant, lovely voice but he needs the mix to make him stand out

Annoyed none of the judges mentioned the number 2 in the band (name?) he was very good too the other 2 are backing singers though

He hasnt been on our screen for more than 15 minutes in total and people are already writing the band off and recommending they split up for the possible sake of a solo career.

From what I can gather on here, they have probably got more new/changed mind voters after their performance than anyone else.

Anthonys voice reminds me of David McAlmont.

Does no-one else think he looks like a woman?

I think he looks like a woman, he looked like he had womens clothes on too on Saturday. Someone else on here has already said that it looks like he is building up to appearing in drag.

I bet Ashley stole his clothes for the evening.

Its the flip side you have to look at. If he was a woman, he wouldnt be getting all of the attention but becasue he is a male and a non threat to the girls, his looks and make-up etc can be much appreciated......Its just logic

No, because while most acts in the charts are shit, they're 10,000 times better than Eton Road.

Most of the acts in the charts can't sing live.

I'm not sure he'd be strong enough to go it alone. To me he has a pretty fragile personality and has few issues going on. He looks like he might have an eating disorder (especially when you look at the picture of him a few years ago, where he looks completely different), maybe also has some gender issues and is a bit of a nervous wreck at times. The irony, of course, is that his strangeness and fragility is one of the things that makes him interesting to us.

He reminds me so very much of the early "New Romantic" look in the 80's, I felt like I was in a time warp . He is a very "pretty" boy & I think he looks great imho.
He was wooden & like a rabbit caught in the headlights at bootcamp I was so pleased he managed to pull it off & show his great voice on Sat. I pray the "old fart" gives them some good material to show his potential.

Anthony is great - he has a lot of dignity, and a fantastic voice. He could be a solo artist, given a few years, I have no doubt.

Ahh maybe you have a point. I had no idea he was only 17. I think he's really striking, both in looks and voice.
