hello I recently bought a samsung HDTV

http://www.dabs.com/productview.aspx?quicklinx=413F

But now I am wanting some nice surrond sound for it as the sound sucks on it, I knew this already before I bought it but was not fussed as I was going to get a nice sound setup for it.

But I dont have a clue what is good and what is bad. Could anyone recommend something for me?

Me price budget is £200. Many thanks

Ive just got the same TV as you but was just wondering how you would go about connecting a 5.1 setup with these Samsung TVs?

I bought a 40' Samsung HDTV back in May and connected my exsisting Sony 5.1 system to it...Woow what a difference. I dont rate the speakers on the Samsung TV, but then i suppose i'm used to my 5 speakers. So I suppose what I'm trying to say say is go and get yourself a decent 5.1 its worth the money.

Hi, I have a Panasonic 5.1 system, very happy with it too. I didn't connect the tv. I have the digital connections from my DVD and Sky+ going to the 5.1 receiver and just turn the tv audio to zero.

Try these people, I have used them before.

possibly the same system that Tiger is referring to ... but I have recently set up the same TV as you have bought Colic with this surround system for a friend of mine: Panasonic SC-HT855.

Its an all-in-one incorporating a DVD player and is pretty good ... a bit lacking on inputs but has one digital and two (3?) analogue. PLUS it has HDMI output with upscaling.
