Thanks Nigel,

Yes, I do have a marginal signal, so I have good reason to be interested. We went digital on day one because our analogue signal was so bad. Since then we have worked on our reception for years, and with the latest kit we have improved the analogue to very good, but the problems remain with digital reception, so we want the very best.

In that case, I'd say go to Turbosat, and don't order a white one!

Nigel.

I did go to Turbosat and ordered a Black Panther 250, and yes it does have the new tuners, so thanks again, Nigel.

Compared with my three other STBs and one iDTV, the tuners in the Toppy perform the best in my difficult location, so I am well pleased.

I recorded the same programmes on both Toppy and STB/DVDHDD recorders, and then compared the glitches (in slow motion). While all three STBs frequently lose either picture or sound or both, my toppy maintains sound at all times and just shows picture disruption covering a few lines only (almost unnoticeable!).
