Nate should've told Conor that he's free to come down and join in his kids jiu jitsu class.
Unlucky really but can happen to anyone at any time. |

Jui Jitsu skills had little to do with it. He was finished after the punch and had no defence.

Mcgregor interview after... I'm humble in defeat as well as humble in victory!
Impressive strength and skill for Diaz to take control so quickly on the ground |

Holly didn't hold on to her title very long. Great tactics by Tate.

As for Conor as soon as Nate started to hit him clean you could tell he could not take the power at all, he was backing up quick and his legs were gone. Very good win for Nate. I bet Dana White is sitting in a room crying tonight with his two money makers beaten. |

It's going to be interesting how mcgegor handles this, he can't go round thinking he is unbeatable in the UFC anymore, he was doing well, he was landing some good shots, maybe at a lower weight he might have been able to stop an opponent, but then he got sloppy IMO, started leaving his chin open, he got tagged a couple of times and I think he thought he could walk throughout Diazs punches, but he got tagged and hurt, Diaz has been around too long and knows how to finish. This needs to be an eye opener for Mcgregor.
So pleased for Tate, she deserves the title, Rousey will be happier to face Tate than Holm I think, but maybe Holm deserves a rematch with Tate. |

The fate Nate had no real training camp and still beat Conor should be a real eye opener for Conor and hopefully make him a little more humble. Agree about Tate, she kept coming back over the years and is a worthy champion. |

The division is well set and nicely open without Ronda there, sadly for Tate and almost everybody else she's on her way back. Will be interesting to see how she comes back after the loss to Holm. Personally I don't see the third fight going any differently to the first two between her and Tate, Rousey will swarm her and finish her. It'll be a fantastic build and do fantastic business for the company. Tate's hope is that the Holm loss for Rousey works against her mentally, otherwise I see Rousey tearing her to pieces. I'd likely do Holm/Nunes in the time being or Zingano/Holm if Zingano is ready to return. Rousey/Tate is going to do great business, a win for Rousey and a win for Holm in another fight then sets up Rousey/Holm II. The UFC have a couple of big money fights right there if things go to plan. |

A big mistake for McGregor to move up two weight divisions like that. He didn't look his normal self and was visibly tiring in the second round, he took on too much.

I have been telling all my buddys to back Diaz to stop Mcgregor since this fight was rearranged to back Diaz to stop him in the first or second round by submission
he has been choked out twice in the past by far lesser fighters than Nate Diaz the facts are that Conor cant live with good ground specialists and as far as all this I will die before give in just a load of BULL he tapped straight away just like the other two times Frankie Edgar will do the same to him should they ever meet - never has a fighter been so over hyped |

She would have beat Rousey, Tate and Holm one after the other. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Co2rKnJGUF8 |

It's a pity boxer Ann Wolfe, regarded within the sport as the hardest puncher and best fighter in the history of women's boxing, is probably too old for UFC now.

Okay. Have caught up with the replays of both fights that I didn't bother with because I thought they would both be foregone conclusions. Shows how much I know Huge credit to both underdog winners, especially Diaz taking the fight at such short notice. McGregor landed almost at will at times but couldn't handle the one big punch Diaz threw back and the fight was more or less over then. Meanwhile, Holm was well on the way to winning when tenacious Tate clamped onto her for dear life. Unlike mighty mouth McGregor though, at least Holm did her utmost best to dislodge Tate and refused to tap out. Agree with others that Rousey still beats Tate though. I think she's earned the right to sit back and fight the winner of Holm V Rousey 2. But the dollar signs in Dana's eyes will be looking at Holm v Ann other, Rousey v tate and then the Rousey v Holm rematch. I read that mcGregors walking weight is 170lbs. That can't be right surely? It would explain why he felt he could move up without problems but that means he's been cutting 25lbs for each featherweight fight???? Quote:

And Laila Ali also if she had trained in mma. I'm still hoping they will find some way of getting Cyborg to fight at the UFC.

Only just watched it last night and managed to keep away from the result. Oh God, how wonderful was the that? Granted I had doubts about Nate's desire to shut Conor's mouth but he did it spectacularly.
Punched him out in a magnificent display of - what was that you said Conor - "precision beating power". Then Conor displays the defense sense of a 4 year old, stumbles for a take down, allows himself to be mounted like a Canadian policeman, offers up his back and taps out quicker than Michael Flatley. At least Holly Holm had to be put to sleep and she was still swinging as she went. Conor just caved. And then the excuses start of the heavier man beating him. He was heavier by 1 pound and had virtually no training camp. You're a great showman Conor but you've never really been pushed or even mildly pushed and on Saturday night everyone saw that. I'm sure you'll go back down to 145 but won't you then be the "heavier man" that you were accusing Nate of being? |

Lol at Dada 5000 likely getting a no contest in a match he nearly died in, due to Kimbo failing a test! Shamrock also failed, but Royce passed, which is something I suppose

Ariel Helwani reporting the desired main event of UFC 200 is..... Diaz v McGregor II
If the first one really did 1.5 million $50 SD / $60 HD pay per view buys in North America, guess it's not surprising |

The New York State Assembly just legalized professional MMA .
Interesting to see what they do for the first MSG show, as they'll likely want it to be the biggest show ever. |
