The Lesnar fight was pretty boring! Herring has been finished for two years and Lesnar didnt really have a clue how to finish him off. He needs to learn some submission skills!
The UFC heavyweight division sucks big time!! |

UFC seriously needs Fedor. I do wonder if he'll sign with them in the near future.

They stumbling block was UFC wanted exclusivity, but Fedor's management want to shop him around and have him fight as often as possible to make money. |

They tried to get him before by offering him $1.5m a fight.
They stumbling block was UFC wanted exclusivity, but Fedor's management want to shop him around and have him fight as often as possible to make money. If I won, I had to fight eight times in two years. If I lost one fight, then the UFC had the right to rip up the contract. At the conclusion of the contract, if I am undefeated, then it automatically extends for an as yet unspecified period of time, though for the same compensation." |

Nogueira is washed up though. Plus that is one name in a whole division man. the division has sucked for ages. It needs Josh Barnett, Fedor and Couture. We all know that is never gonna happen though.
You only have to look at recent aquisitions to see where UFC is going (Anderson Silva, Wanderlei Silva, Quinton Jackson, etc). It's likely the heavweight division will be beefed up further than it already has been. Out of interest which do you think is the best division? |

Granted it doesn't have some of the names in other divisions but Nogueira isn't over the hill just yet. Who beat him to make you say that? The UFC heavyweight division is being built up now. Besides you know there is more than just that one name.

The Light Heavyweight Division is the best in UFC no doubt. Chuck Liddell ia past his best though, Wanderlei Silva is not the same fighter since he was brutally KO'd by Cro Cop in Pride. Anderson Silva is awesome!! |

Who else in the Heavyweight Division is worth talking about? Fabricio Werdum is boring, Cro Cop is in Japan and will not be back, Frank Mir is way past it, Kongo is not that good, Mark Coleman is over the hill and should retire. Gonzaga is good but needs to show more yet.

Anderson Silva is awesome!! Over the hill my arse You might think Werdum is boring but that hardly has anything to do with World rankings Also i still believe Arlovski is a scarey prospect if he can just get his confidence back.Yep Gonzaga is good and yes still lots to prove and a recent defeat to come back from. Same about Brandon Vera; he's a great fighter but alot smaller than alot of the top bracket heavyweights but i think he's got a belt in him. I think he would have knocked the s**t out of Sylvia if he hadn't have messed his hand up. Cheick Kongo is a good fighter. Not World class but good stand up and good ground skills (dominated Herring on the ground recently). Still some development to go there but he's decent. Yeah the Light heavy division is awesome though. I'm kinda edging towards Evans against Liddel ![]() Also Silva is Middleweight not Light Heavy and that is also a great division (Dan Henderson). Also Welterweight is strong so against these 3 divisions it does look weak. But, there are a few good fighters and it's growing

So i answer you but you ignore what i say to you? You keep saying people are over the hill with no explantion or validation. Again i ask who beat Nog for you to say he's over the hill? Again with Mir (and as i've already said) the accident took a lot out of him but he's on the way back. Still some way to go but he has world class Jui-Jitsu. You do know about the accident? He's only 29 dude

He should be fighting Josh Barnett next. Yes Frank Mir has great BJJ skills but seriously the guy is past his best. one win vs Brock Lesnar does not make you great. he lost to Marcio “Pe-de-Pano easily. He was poor against Dan Christison although he got the win on points. Brandon Vera smashed him up in 1 round. Beating Brock proves nothing. I don't care where Werdum is in the world rankings. the guy has skills but he is boring to watch. Kongo got beat by Herring man. Thats not good!! I am a big fan of Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, I have been since he first started fighting in the Rings promotion. I just saying the guy is getting old man. There is no way he is the best Heavyweight in the world when has has been beaten by Fedor twice. Fedor, Barnett and Couture are the top 3 Heavyweights in the world. UFC has not got them so they have an insignificant division right now. |

He's got another 13 years to catch up and, as you say, Couture is one of the best in the World at the moment.Quote:

BTW, Couture is still officially a UFC fighter His contract expires on 11 October.

![]() always fun.Anyone want to stick their necks out for UFC 88? I'm not amazingly impressed with the card if i'm honest. My only hope is that Yoshida makes Parisyan look stupid I guess Franklin/Hamill is an intersting match-up. Tough to call that one but i think Franklin will edge it due to greater experience. Evans to beat Liddell as i've already said. Henderson v Palhares could also be a crazy fight depending on how things go. Thinking Henderson for that even though Palhares has some sick Jui-Jitsu. Should be interesting.

Randy Couture has agreed to return to the UFC, and his first title defence will be at UFC 91 in Las Vegas on November 15th against none other than Brock Lesnar, in what should be one of the biggest drawing matches of all time.

Never been much of a fan due to the excessive mat grappling (though I like Liddell), but I would pay to have Brazo just for a month if it meant I could see my dream match of Lesnar vs Sapp. I just want that lumbering, bullrushing fool to get his ass kicked by Lesnar! Hell, I wouldn't mind anyone kicking his ass except Ortiz (hate him, too).

Former Middleweight Champion of the UFC Evan Tanner has been found dead in the desert. A body was discovered in the Palo Verde mountain area on Monday, said Lt. George Moreno from Imperial County Sheriff's Department. The Palo Verde mountain area is 60 miles northeast of Brawley. Tanner, 37, has been missing since last weekend when his friends had not heard from him after countless phone calls and text messages. Evan recently wrote on his blog "I plan on going so deep into the desert, that any failure of my equipment, could cost me my life," wrote Tanner on the adventure in August. "I've been doing a great deal of research and study. I want to know all I can about where I'm going, and I want to make sure I have the best equipment." R.I.P
