Nate has demonstrated Mcgregor's inherent weaknesses. He has little staying power and if you can weather the first round, he's there for the taking.

I thought Nate won it. Yes Mcgregor won the first round and rallied in the fourth but there were times when he was running away in the fight and Nate got a genuine take down in the fifth.

What was telling was at the end of the third Conor went to his corner and his coach said 'you've lost the last two rounds in a row, then paused and then said but you're winning the clinch. He literally had nothing left to offer him.

I believe Nate did enough but for the big money to keep rolling in, Conor needed to win. However, he is no longer the intimidating individual he was as Nate has shown Conor's weaknesses for all to see.

Good display from Johnson and props for him calling out the morons booing Cormier. Cormier is the champ and had the courage to face Johnson. If you're cross about the Jones fight, blame Jones.

I predicted McGregor to win 55 / 45, and that was just about right. Post fight, McGregor definitely won the fight, and the judges scored it right.

Athletically, it's like a sprinter in McGregor versus a long distance runner in Diaz. Usain Bolt v Mo Farah. Of course McGregor is going to tire more, and will need a breather. His punches are dynamite and draining. Diaz and his brother Nick think they won?! Did you see Diaz's face? Broken nose, lacerated eye, one leg and probably a cracked rib.

He regularly knocked Diaz down, rightly refused to engage a genuine black belt Jiu Jitsu guy in floor game, used leg kicks well and slipped a lot of Diaz's slow, power punches.

The only improvement Conor could have made, would have been to use more body shots. You rarely see a fighter stopped due to body shots in UFC. Body shots can be devastating, as in Bernard Hopkins knocking out Oscar De La Hoya. A well placed body shot, especially against a guy like Diaz with a rib injury can be devastating. Go for that floating rib. Carl Froch used to slow opponents down brilliantly using body shots, and while they're not eye catching, they can be very, very effective.

At 155, McGregor willl beat Diaz with ease, although he needs to keep adapting his fight plan under the expert tutelage of his trainer John Kavanagh.

It would be great to see McGregor against Mayweather, but as Mayweather only takes fights he thinks he can win, it probably won't happen.

With those MMA gloves body shots must be quite risky, misplace a shot you could break your hand. I bought some thinking I would use them on a punchbag to toughen my hands up, only used them once, bloody painful.

BiB I agree I did the same thing and I do use on the punch bag but it doesn't take too much for my knuckles to get sore if I catch the bag wrong so would imagine hitting someone in the mid section would be worse as at least the bag moves.

Was looking to go to UFC 204 with it being in Manchester, which is only a 20 min tram ride for me but reading about it the main card is still to start at 3am with the Bisping fight due at around 4am.

Lets just cater all the bloody time to the American market. Would of been fine to have the fight say between 11pm or 1am but nearer 4am is just stupid and the crowd will be dead by then.

It really is absolutely ridiculous, he is the champ , its in England, it should be shown at our time, do the trams run 24 hours ? , could you imagine the fight is over by the first round , a lot of people in the place will have to wait until the trams start running again to get home.

I used to stay up to watch the big UFC fights about 10 years ago , now i just record them and watch them the next day

Last trams are at 12.45am but the morning ones start at 5.50am. So yes you will have people just milling around after for about a hour.

Like you say it is ridiculous that you have a English champion fighting in his home city for a home coming fight yet everything is still being made to accommodate the American audience.

Yeah, I think Nate might have helped that by beating him so convincingly in the first fight.

I was never sure of Bisping but I have to hand it to the guy for stepping up and taking his chance. I do feel though that the UFC are a little embarrassed of him being the champ. It just feels like he hasn't been discussed or promoted much making me feel that the UFC just want to quickly put him away.

Hendo is a wily old dog with fight still in him but I do hope that Bisping gets his revenge for the highlight reel knockout that is endlessly shown of him receiving.

Unless people stop going to the UK shows it wouldn't change. Hendo/Bisping was always going to sell out via the pre-sale anyway. There was a B show in Nottingham a few years back where tickets were £75-£225 which I thought there's no way it'll sell out, but it did. So why should UFC care?
