I've seen the stills of Hill's leg, pretty nasty!

Cantwell's armbar too, can't believe the other guy didn't tap.
Some memorable bits.

Spoiler

Good night of fighting but I don't think a night like that will sit well with some advertisers.

I know, wouldn't have helped that it was a free event in the states rather than PPV too. Still these things happen.

Are you watching the TUF finale at the weekend? Predictions?

I can't believe the Browning v Kaplan fight has made the main card.

Main card (Televised):

155 lbs.: Phillipe Nover vs. Efrain Escudero
205 lbs.: Ryan Bader vs. Vinicius Magalhães
185 lbs.: Wilson Gouveia (11–5) vs. Jason MacDonald (21–10)
170 lbs.: Kevin Burns (7-1) vs. Anthony Johnson (5-2)
155 lbs.: Junie Browning Vs. Dave Kaplan

Nover is a rare talent no doubt but he's cocky. I have real trouble getting behind cocky fighters even though he's so skillful. Very aggressive too. He should do well.

I'm not convinced about Bader, solid fighter but not very imaginative.

Junie Browning, pain in the arse. This year's Leben. Throwing glasses in peoples' faces? That's not drunk loutish behaviour, that's career-ending stuff. I hope he gets destroyed. White seems determined to have him around.

Should be a decent night in prep for 92 day after Boxing Day.

I'm going for Nover although Efrain's a decent fighter too.

I think Vinni will sub Bader in the first round, probably by flying armbar.

I hope rumble wins his rematch after the joke loss that he was given the first time he fought Burns.

Yeah pitiful reffing. It's not up to the UFC though, it's down to the Athletic Commission and whatever branch is hosting the event. North Carolina I believe this one was.

The Ultimate Fight Night Finale last night was a good event with some good results.

Quite suprised with Vinni and Nover, they just didn't show up on the night. Take nothing away from Escudero though, he had a gameplan and looked good.

Gouveia looked good again too, although he didn't make weight. Glad that Rumble got his win too.

The fighter that really suprised/impressed me though was Junie Browning. I know he was only fighting Kaplan but I thought he looked excellent compared to his fights on the show. He seems to have grown up a lot and I think I heard he was training at extreme coutoure now.

I doubt it, Levens isn't as well known as Benoit.

Evan Tanners death was hardly reported apart from on MMA sites/blogs and he was one of the more popular fighters in his day.

UFC 92's round the corner! What's your picks??

265 lbs.: UFC Heavyweight Champion Antonio Rodrigo “Minotauro” Nogueira (31-4-1) vs. Frank Mir (11-3)
205 lbs.: UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Forrest Griffin (16-4) vs. Rashad Evans (12-0-1)
185 lbs.: C.B. Dollaway (7-7) vs. Mike Massenzio (11-2)
205 lbs.: Quinton “Rampage” Jackson (28-7) vs. Wanderlei Silva (32-8-1)

I'm going for big nog, Evans and rampage.

ps How did C.B. Dollaway manage to get on the main card???

Nogueira, Griffin and Silva I think will win. As for the Dollaway question it does make you wonder seeing as Amir Sadollah hasn't been seen since beating Dollway in TUF 7 final. Though Dollaway did look good against Jesse Taylor.

The rampage v silva match is a tough one to call. Depends what kind of mental state Jackson is in after his breakdown.

I find Rampage to be very inconsistent in the fact that one fight he will decimate his opponent and the next fight he will himself be decimated.

UFC 94 card confirmed. Still over a month away but this is looking like one of the best cards the UFC has ever put together. Hope there are no injuries.

Main event:

UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre vs. UFC Lightweight Champion B.J. Penn in a 170-pound title bout

Main card (Televised):

205 lbs.: Lyoto Machida (13-0) vs. Thiago Silva (13-0)
205 lbs.: Stephan Bonnar (11-4) vs. Jon Jones (6-0)
155 lbs.: Nate Diaz (10-2) vs. Clay Guida (24-9)
170 lbs.: Karo Parisyan (18-5) vs. Dong Hyun “Stun Gun” Kim (11-0-1)

Everyone ready for UFC 92 tonight? Anyone else think it is a bit of an insult that Silva vs Rampage is 2nd on the card tonight, when it is a bigger match than any of the so-called 'main-events' we have got for UK shows in the past few years?

I think you can forget about UK shows being of the same proportion as the US shows due to logistics. I think they will always be considered satellite shows such as the airbase or army fights.

Silva and Rampage aren't that famous to the TUF generation and there's no titles involved. Though Rampage had no game face at the weigh ins, he looked knackered and not really with it, Silva got rowdy and pushed him away to no response. I'm a huge Rampage fan so I hope he kicks off properly tonight.

Cheick Kongo was pretty funny at the weigh-ins, he did that 'intimidating' face shove and Al Turk didn't even blink. Total fail. I hope Al Turk destroys him.

So all I need now is Big Nog to break Mir's arm, Rashad to KO Griffin and Rampage to powerslam Wand to win for a good close to 2008.

2 out of 3's not bad! Great KOs by Evans & Jackson.

Big nog looked out of shape and apparently came in a fair bit heavier than he normally does. Maybe all the punishment he's taken is catching up with him.

Mir looked excellent but I think Brock will blow him away in their next fight.

Pretty happy with the results, with obvious exception to the Mir fight. I thought Frank was wooden, slow, did the same 3-punch combo over and over and yet Nog did absolutely nothing. What was that all about? Woefully disappointed in his display.

I'm very happy with Rashad's result, very deserving. Another fight which shows that if Griffin doesn't get his way early he starts to get demoralised and loses heart. Evans was patient, took the onslaught and punished him. Beautiful.

Well done Rampage. Sweet KO but I think both of them are past their best.

Good UFC, only spoilt for me by Mir winning.

I am gutted Forrest lost but you cannot take away anything from Rashad's performance. Just one question, who the hell was that ref in the Cheick Kongo-Mustapha al Turk fight? I saw him ref 2 fights and in both he should have called the fight long before he did especially the Kongo grounding and pounding.

Haha. That's Steve 'Rat Eyes' Mazzagatti. One of the worst refs in the Nevada team. I've lost count of the horrible decisions that man's made.

Talks of Big John coming back to reffing. Obviously skint.

I tell you mate I was screaming at the telly for him to call the fight when Kongo was grounding and pounding on Turk. There must have been at least 30 unanswered punches in that attack and rules dictate if the guy is not intelligently defending himself then you call it off. I honestly started fearing for the safety and well being of Turk there I really did.

ever since the brutal KO from Mirko Cro Cop, Wanderli Silva has been a shot fighter. The guy should retire. He is finished!

Well done rampage..

Nogiuera is finished also, all the wars finally caught up with the guy. He is done...

Mir will beat Brock again!!

It'll be interesting to see how Evans does against the winner of Machida/Thiago Silva. I think he loses to either of them.
