That's a useful post. Did you think of that all by yourself?

as others have said recent records cant always dictate how the fight will go, saying that belforts on a win streak aswell and has the hands to KO silva

maybe more telling is that vitors been heavily training karate, perhaps he will have some improved ilusiveness ala machida which could pose silva problems

i love strikeforce, it looks good in term of production, lighting etc and has some of my fav fighters (nick diaz in particular)!!!!!!!! but most of all they put on good fights

in last 4/5 card theres been

cung le/smith
melendez/thompson
diaz vs shamrock/smith/zamruakis
shields vs miller
manoef vs lawler
fedor vs rogers

imo strikeforce gets better all the time which is good for any real mma fan

Any MMA is good, looking forward to Fedor's next fight. Diaz is always great to watch.

Another free card for us in the US. UFC Fight Night 21 has completed it's main card, which features...

Kenny Florian vs. Takanori Gomi (main event)
Roy Nelson vs. Stefan Struve (co-main event)
Nate Quarry vs. Jorge Rivera
Ross Pearson vs. Denis Siver

Should be a great set of fights.

And Dana has confirmed Meathead v Kimbo at UFC 113.

Meathead, meathead, he's our man, if he can't do it no one can!

When will UFC be returning to the UK? Are they cutting back on the amount of events here due to the pound plummetting in value recently?

Is UFC Vera vs Jones being shown on ESPN? That's a seriously stacked card for a free TV event, arguably better than UFC 108 from last month.

I read an interview on sherdog a few weeks back saying they were looking at doing a show in London later this year, but I can't find a link.

Well that was pointless, a total mismatch. I assume Randy is going to get a shot at the 205 pound champ, but I fail to see how that helped him at all. At least Nate Marquardt vs. Chael Sonnen was a great fight. And Coleman's hissy fit at Ortiz at the end was quite funny.

no surprise really. The fight should of never been booked to be honest. Mark Coleman has been finished for years now. I don't even know why UFC signed him up!

Coleman vs Couture was a joke main event. When Pride booked Fedor vs Coleman 2 Dana White came out and said all kinda crap about it.

How was this any better? It was worse as Coleman is more of a joke than he was 3 years ago.

Surprised Frank Trigg lasted so long to be honest, i was expecting that fight to be over in less than a minute. He looked so scared walking into the ring, his punches were weak and sluggish and were never going to cause Serra any trouble. It was just a matter of time until he got KO'ed.

Just watched the main event. Coleman looked about 60 and moved like a guy older than that. What a joke of a fight that was!!!

The reason it was booked so as he Dana could play on the first time 2 Hall of Famers fight. Pretty obvious what the result was going to be but Dana needed something to draw people to buy it on PPV as the rest of the card was pretty dire as well.

The UFC hasnt really thrown up a fully stacked card for a long while.

UFC had a lot of calloffs in the last 6 months, so had a few weak cards on paper. If you look at the cards coming up in the next 4 to 6 months, UFC has some mega shows.

In fact, the UFC had already broken the pay-per-view industry's all-time records for a single year of business, generating over $222,766,000 in revenue in 2006, surpassing both WWE and boxing.

Look at the UFC cards from 110-112. They are fantastic.

Florian vs. Gomi on free TV (at least here)? Fantastic.

Just wondering, are there any teary eyed nostalgic Wanderlei fans here? I want to laugh at you when Bisping knocks him out.

I can't see that happening to be honest. If you watch the Bisping/Kang fight from 105, Bisping was still circling the wrong way - the same thing he was doing in the Henderson fight. Kang actually dropped him a couple of times. Bisping won in the second when Kang just gassed out and couldn't go on. Of course, I would imagine that he'll have learned his lesson by now, but if he comes out making the same mistakes in this fight he'll be in for a lot of trouble.

I predict Silva winning the fight.

Who do you all think is winning in the main event? Cain Velasquez has looked amazing recently, but we haven't really seen him tested on the ground. It's too tough to call at this point however it is going to be a phenomenal fight!
