Hendo vs Shogun wasn't the best fight ever. Fight of the year maybe. If it was the first fight on Fox we would have seen Bonnar vs Griffin factor x1000!

While we're talking best fight ever my vote goes to Fedor vs Big Nog 1.

Henderson vs Shogun was pretty epic, definitely a FOTY candidate and probable winner mainly because of the history, but Guida v Henderson and this Chandler fight will probably run it close.

On no doubt not the best fight ever, do believe it's one of the best the UFC has had though (not the best, I'd likely rank it in my top ten though). Thank goodness it wasn't on Fox though, that's certainly not the fight they needed to kick off their debut on Fox, could of caused them various troubles with certain behind the scenes people.

Rampage/Baddar for 144 I think it is. I've got Rampage winning that one all day long.

Hendo looked like an extra from The Walking Dead in the last round. Shame he didn't manage to finish Shogun off in the early round, thought the ref was going to step in.

What did everyone think of last night's TUF finale? Brandao vs Bermudez has to be a contender for Fight of the Year IMO. The main event was a bit of a non-event, Mayhem looked greatly out of his depth but Bisping didn't look that great either.

it was an excellent event both finals were great to watch and then bisping winning with ease.

GSP is likely out injured for 10 months with a torn ACL, UFC are now doing Nick Diaz vs Carlos Condit for the interim welterweight title on February 4th.

I hate 'interim' titles

I see Bisping will get a title shot if he beats Demian Maia on the Fox 2 show; oh, how it pays to be British in the UFC. This will be up there with Dan Hardy getting a fortuitous crack at GSP as Bisping will have avoided all the main contenders such as Sonnen, Munoz, Okami and Belfort (all who would handle him comfortably).

The thing is, Silva has plowed his way through all of those (bar Munoz, who in fairness would likely go the same way as all of the others in getting taken apart. And bar Sonnen as he tested Silva, though we all know what happened after the fight and the apparent injury to Silva as well, who still won the fight despite all of that).

Sonnen/Munoz winner will already be facing Silva anyway. If Silva beats either of those, which he likely will, then I don't see a problem with Bisping fighting Silva, as realistically Silva has cleared everybody else out. It'd at least be a pretty good fight too, one which again Silva likely takes all day long, but then again there's no shame in that as it's tough to see anybody beating Silva.

And if by some chance Sonnen for instance was to beat Munoz and then dethrone Silva, you have a possible set up for a great encounter between him and Bisping.

This all of course if Bisping defeats Maia, which he should.

If Silva beats Sonnen again, I'd hope they'd have him fight Jon Jones at 205 next. I'd love for there to be a Brit UFC champ, even Bisping, but Bisping wouldn't last 2 rounds against Anderson Silva, and everyone knows it.

I am pretty sure Bisping would not last a round with Silva or Jones he is a good all round fighter but no way is he World title Material

You could say the same about many people who have faced Silva, that's the problem. Thing is, you cant deny somebody a title shot if they earn it. Sure, it's debatable as to whether Bisping has earned one, but he's a new challenge and whether he gets dismantled by Silva or not, there's no real problem in him getting a shot. Koscheck managed to earn a title shot against GSP, but we all knew GSP was in a different league and would pretty much dismantle him, which he did, but that doesn't mean Koscheck shouldn't of got that title shot. And let me point to Serra too, the guy who shocked the world in beating GSP. Shocks and surprises can happen, if somebody is looking good and winning fights, it's tough to deny them a title shot, certainly when the rest of the division has been cleaned out by the champion.

As for Jones/Silva, could be a sensational match up, but Jones still has challengers. He's got to get through Machida to start, which isn't the foregone conclusion that so many thing (though of course Jones goes in as favorite). Then he has Davis or Evans (and let's be honest, win or lose that fight, Evans/Jones needs to eventually happen). And then you could even look at somebody like Henderson, whether or not he stays in that division. Jones has challengers ahead of him that is going to stop him from being freed up for quite some time, in the mean time Silva needs fights. GSP is out for quite some time, putting a halt to any talks of their dream match. Sonnen/Munoz fight Silva early/mid next year and if Silva powers through one of those and Bisping beats Maia, then it's tough to see why they shouldn't book Bisping/Silva.

I'm still not dead certain Bisping/Silva will even happen saying all that, but if it does, there's no complaints from me.

bisping deserves restpect

hes basically stuck between a level fighters and b level fighters

he handly dispatches B fighters but hasnt yet conquered the best in the division

his record is great however and hes now earnt himself a top 10 fight, and i think he can win this one

why shouldnt he, although i dont think he will beat sliva (who could beat him anyway,) he has a good record and won his last fight against a guy who was ment to be good and have skills but bisping took him apart.

Hardy also went on a good run to earn his shot and its not like other more talented contenders missed out, he didnt come close to beating GSP but he did survive. his gone on a bad run but his not a bad fighter, he will stand in the pocket and do his best to put on a good fight.

They're lucky that wasn't on Fox, because it would have got them heat for being too brutal.

Another great ppv from start to finish the Mir vs Big Nog showed both the beauty and brutality of MMA. A shame they push the time back an hour from 141, so it won't start til 3am again!

If they want to truly break into the global market they need to come up with a better start time. And the Japan show will be a 10am local start time which is insane, especially considering combat sports is pretty much dead in Japan these days. Still it's a great card on paper and something we'd kill to see in the UK!
